Kathryn Bernardo clarifies that while she and Daniel Padilla are in the 'M.U.' stage, they are not yet officially a couple.
Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla play the lead roles in the highly-anticipated Star Cinema movie Must Be Love
as childhood best friends Pachot and Ivan. After being part of hit movies like 24/7 In Love
, the two are excited to share their latest project with their loyal fans. “Sana bigyan nila kami ng
movie, hindi lang sa
soap. So it’s exciting and nakakakaba,
” Kathryn said.
The 16-year-old actress said it is a different feeling to have their own teen romance film. Tapos sa premiere night excited kami mapanuod yung buong movie na ginawa namin together sa Cebu,” she admitted during the Must Be Love presscon held February 28 at the Dolphy Theater inside ABS-CBN.
The Must Be Love star said she hopes that fans of Princess and I will find their movie just as enjoyable to watch. Kathryn said there are “kilig” scenes which are wholesome but fun to watch. “Siguro naging interesting sa viewers yung pagiging love team namin ni DJ kahit very opposite kami pagdating sa pananamit, pananalita, pagkilos at personality. Yung ibang teenagers like us, nakikita nila yung mga sarili nila sa amin. At kami, yung ginagawa namin, pang-age talaga namin,” Kathryn explained.
During the presscon, DJ admitted to the press that he and Kathryn were already “mag-M.U.” or have a mutual understanding, but Kath clarified the interpretation of the term. “Parang ganun.
Kath said that it is also a big factor to her that DJ is a gentleman and gets along well with her mom.
Kathryn said it is not true that she has become jealous of all the attention DJ has been getting from female fans. “Wala.
The pretty morena said she was also not affected while watching DJ’s scenes in Must Be Love with newcomer Liza Soberano (who was formerly known as Hope Soberano) who plays her cousin Hope in the story. So tingnan na lang natin kasi maganda yung role ni Hope sa Must Be Love,” she said.
The talented actress also admitted that DJ’s family has also been very nice to her. “Mabait si Tita Karla (Estrada), mabait yung family niya and na-meet ko din si Tito Rommel (Padilla) nung game 3 (Princess and I basketball game) so super bait nila,” she revealed.
