KC Concepcion surprisingly asked for “space” from her French suitor Pierre Emmanuel Plassart, stating that she’s not yet ready for a serious commitment at this point in her life. The two just came from a winter vacation in Japan together with KC’s family and relatives when the 27-year-old actress broke the news to her Twitter followers early this week. “Husband material na nga 'yung taong 'yon, kaya lang hindi pa ako ready, kaya nag-step back muna ako. Siya 'yung tipong settling down type na, alam mo 'yon? Wala pa ako sa level na 'yon and I'd been very honest with him about it,” she said in a recent interview with ABS-CBNNews.com.
But she was quick to clarify that she hasn’t totally turned him down yet, just that there are still a lot of things that she wants to enjoy without the responsibilities of a committed relationship. At the very least, she was happy to say that they have remained good friends to date. Pierre even gave her flowers before he left for Paris a few days ago. “Hindi naman basted, ang sakit naman noon kasi nag-uusap pa din kami. It's just that he knows na I need time, he needs time. At sabi ko kilala ko ang sarili ko na kung gusto kong tuldukan ang relationship, totally tuldok na talaga 'yon. And I told him we don't know what is going to happen in the future. Sabi ko, 'You are still the guy that I want to end up with.’”
In the meantime, KC feels excited about her upcoming projects now that she has renewed her contract with ABS-CBN. She is currently busy taping the teleserye Against All Odds with Judy Ann Santos and Sam Milby. Asked about what other projects are lined up for her this year, she simply replied, “Siguro doon sa mga nag-re-request, nagti-tweet, sa akin about hosting, ito na marami na tayong hosting projects. Habang nandito tayo, siyempre, we want to explore at kilala niyo ako I want to explore new things. So that's one thing that will keep me here in the Philippines, itong kontrata ko with ABS-CBN.”
