Kim Chiu denies she walked out after slapping scene with Maja Salvador

022113-kim_main.jpgKim Chiu refuted circulating rumors that she walked out on the set of Ina Kapatid Anak after her much-talked about slapping scene with co-star Maja Salvador. Many viewers anticipated the said episode given the circumstances related to their falling out in real life. You would recall that their friendship was ruined because Kim felt betrayed when Maja got romantically involved with her ex-boyfriend Gerald Anderson.

Kim insisted, however, that she remains professional and focused on getting the job done at work, adding that the scene was shot only once. “Umalis ako pagkatapos ng take kasi tapos na eh. Umalis hindi naman nag-walk out. Bakit naman ako magwo-walk out kung hindi pa tapos. Tapusin natin tsaka tayo umalis,” she stated in an interview with Bandila aired last night, February 20.

When asked about the status of her friendship with Maja, Kim refused to speak about the issue, giving the impression that they haven’t patched things up yet. At this point, she’d rather keep things professional between her and Maja. “Huwag na lang natin pagusapan yun. Ok na yun. Tsaka na lang ‘yan [kung friends na ba ulit kami o hindi]. Kung ano lang nasa script ginagawa lang namin. Wala na munang personal life.”

In the meantime, she was really happy about the news that Ina Kapatid Anak garnered 40.1 percent in the national TV ratings (based on Kantar Media-TNS data) last Monday night, February 18. It was the same episode where she and Maja had a big confrontation. “Hindi naman kami nage-expect pero pinagdadasal namin. Iba pala yung feeling na umabot sa ganon kasi ito yung first teleserye ko na umabot ng forty percent [ang TV rating],” she beamed.
