Popstar Princess Sarah Geronimo had her share of heartaches but things are definitely looking good in terms of her showbiz career. She is currently preparing for her very own drama anthology soon after her variety show Sarah G Live drew to a close last week. On her part, Sarah is excited to further improve her craft via her upcoming acting stint on TV. “Exciting po itong magiging journey ko sa aking bagong proyekto na drama anthology. It’s a challenge for me bilang actress. Sana may mapakita tayo na bago, may ma-showcase tayo na bago sa televiewers natin,” she began.
In the said drama anthology, Sarah will be able to showcase her acting prowess by portraying different characters and working with various artists from the Kapamilya network. But she was quick to say that the feel of her show will be different from what Maalaala Mo Kaya offers the viewers. “Hindi naman pang ‘MMK.’ Siyempre iiwan po natin iyon sa ‘MMK,’ pero importante na may kurot pa rin ang bawat storya na gagawin natin at hindi pa rin mawawala 'yung kung saan ako una nakilala na light and bubbly.”
One more thing that keeps Sarah busy these days is her upcoming film It Takes A Man and A Woman opposite her box office team up John Lloyd Cruz. The 24-year-old further shared that their shoot in New York definitely spiced up the love story of their characters Laida Magtalas and Miggy Montenegro, respectively. “Sobra kaming nag-enjoy at the same time nakakapagod din kasi four days na straight ang shoot namin, hindi kami nakakapahinga kasi kailangan lubusin namin yung stay namin sa New York. Pero I'm sure po na malaki ang maitutulong niya sa love story ni Miggy (Cruz) and Laida (Geronimo).
In the meantime, the Popstar Princess also expressed her gratitude for being nominated in the Favorite Asian Act category for the 2013 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards. Among her contenders include South Korean rapper Psy, Chinese singer-actor Han Gen and Malaysian singer Shila Amzah.
Sarah is also nominated for the following categories in MYX Music Awards 2013: Favorite Artist, Favorite Female Artist, Favorite Remake (of the song ‘Bakit Pa Ba’), and Favorite Media Soundtrack (with Somedaydream and Gary Valenciano).
