Instead of allowing himself to be affected by the issues, Gerald explained that the best way to handle these situations, is to focus on his work.</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Dun natin malalaman kung ano’ng klaseng tao ka, hindi kung paano mo hinandle ‘yung </i>success, <i>kundi kung paano mo hinandle ‘yung mga </i>failures, challenges, <i>at hirap sa buhay. Kasi sa</i> success<i> madali lang i-</i>handle ‘yon. <i>Pero ‘yung</i> failure <i>maraming nagda-</i>down <i>sa ‘yo at maraming</i> challenges, <i>depende sa ’yo kung maging</i> strong <i>ka</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>The actor did not deny that he has been affected by the controversies, however he is intent on being optimistic despite the intrigues. “The stronger you are, the more <i>na marami pang</i> blessings <i>na darating sa buhay mo at ‘yun ang dapat mong iniisip, hindi ‘yung mga taong di mo naman kilala at laging nagda</i>-down<i> sa ‘yo,”</i> he said, referring to his detractors.</div><div><br/></div><div>Gerald is being branded by his critics as a “heartbreaker” due to his romantic involvement with some female celebrities. At present, he is being romantically linked to Maja Salvador, who was friends with Kim Chiu, who is also Gerald’s ex. Sadly, the involvement of Maja with Gerald led to the end of Maja and Kim’s friendship.</div><div><br/></div><div>When prodded if he is now courting Maja, Gerald was evasive. “<i>Sa akin na ‘yon, sa akin na ‘yon.
