The drama actress further shared that she often asks Zanjoe for advice about her career plans. “Whenever I try to make decisions, lagi ko siya kino-consult tungkol dun. Most of the time tama siya. He has always been supportive. He's everything that I need. He pushes me to be better.”
They are also comfortable enough to give constructive criticisms about their respective movie performances. “Sa mga movies, ganyan kami. Like The Mistress, he watched with me on a regular screening. I watched his movie, One More Try, on a regular screening. We give each other feedback.”
Although she admittedly wants to be the only special girl in her man’s life, Bea claimed that she never gets jealous of Zanjoe’s love scenes with his leading ladies. In fact, she just laughed when she learned that he revealed some skin in his recent film One More Try.
Sinabi niya sa akin jokingly, so I didn’t think it was true.
Incidentally, Angelica Panganiban revealed during her guest appearance on Gandang Gabi Vice that she can’t bear to see her boyfriend John Lloyd Cruz kissing his leading ladies, particularly Bea in The Mistress. When asked to comment about Angelica’s statement, Bea confirmed that she knew about way before that episode was shown on TV. “I don’t think nagseselos siya. Sabi niya, ‘I’m sorry.
On her part, Bea reiterated that it’s no big deal whenever Zanjoe does kissing scenes with other actresses since it’s part of their job to begin with. And whenever may gagawin siyang ganon kadelikadong eksena, he would always tell me beforehand na parang ganito gagawin ko eh. And we talk about those things as adults. Parang wala, I don’t see Zanjoe there [in the movie]. I see the character. And this is also my job. So para namang, hindi ko naman mairereklamo yun because I do the same things, minsan worse pa,” she finally stated.
