Toni Gonzaga shares her most unforgettable Valentine's date with Paul Soriano

<div><img src='' alt='021313-toni_main.jpg' align='left' border='0' height='290' width='305'>After being named as the host of the newest Kapamilya reality singing competition <i>The Voice of the Philippines</i>, Toni Gonzaga said she now has her hands full again with a work schedule that involves nationwide auditions for the upcoming show and rehearsals for <i>ASAP</i> and hosting for <i>The Buzz.</i></div><div><br/></div><div>Toni said her new project will not be a problem when it comes to her relationship with longtime boyfriend director Paul Soriano. “<i>Sanay na si direk</i> Paul. <i>Mga limang taon na niyang alam yung ganyang </i>schedule. Actually<i> natutuwa nga ako sa kanya kasi nung nalaman niya yung The Voice, na-</i>excite<i> siya na ibinigay sa akin yung ganitong programa. Sabi ko rin hindi ko ini</i>-expect <i>na ibibigay sa akin.</i> He’s really happy for me. He’s always been so supportive,” she shared.</div><div><br/></div><div>The 29-year-old host admitted that it has always worked for her and Paul to keep their personal and professional lives separate. She said Paul will not likely visit her when she goes on the round of auditions nationwide for the show. “<i>Ay, hindi rin naman siya puwede sumama doon. Hindi maganda. Hindi siya sumasama sa mga</i> auditions,<i> sa mga trabaho. Parang hindi siya puwede, yun ang unang hindi uubra kay </i>mommy Pinty (laughs). <i>Hindi siya uubra.</i> Okay<i> lang, sanay na kami. Hindi na ako mag-re</i>-rebelde.<i> Parang pang-</i>high school <i>na yung ganun. Sanay na kami. Pero </i>so far <i>sa tagal namin hindi pa talaga siya sumasama. Hindi kami nag-se</i>-stay<i> sa trabaho ng isa’t isa. Parang</i> we respect each other’s workspace. <i>Pag may trabaho, trabaho lang,</i>” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Toni said the secret to their long-lasting relationship is the effort they give each other. “<i>Oo naman,</i> we always make time for each other... So <i>pag magkasama kami,</i> we have so much to talk about and things to share,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Toni revealed that Paul is very romantic at heart. “<i>Siguro yung</i> Valentines <i>na</i> unforgettable<i> ko, kasi di ba </i>usually dinner and then <i>pupunta kami sa </i>house and we spend time with the family? <i>Pinaka</i>-unforgettable <i>ko</i> was <i>yung</i> after work, <i>sinurprise niya ako sa bahay. Kasi akala ko hindi na kami magkikita kasi sabi ko na, usapan namin, ‘Ganito ha, may</i> work <i>ako, may</i> work <i>ka, wala ng kitaan, wala ng</i> gift. Normal day <i>na lang</i>. Next time<i> na lang yung</i> February 14 (laughs), <i>sa </i>17 <i>na lang yan </i>or 18.’ <i>Minove na namin sa ibang</i> date.<i> Tapos yun, hindi siya pumayag. Gumawa siya ng </i>effort,<i> tinapos niya ng maaga yung </i>shoot<i> niya. Dumating siya ng bago matapos yung </i>Feb 14 <i>tapos may dala siyang regalo. Niregaluhan niya ako nung time na yun ng</i> bracelet <i>na may</i> letter “C” for Celestine,” she shared.</div><div><br/></div><div>Toni’s bracelet, which was made by French jewelry company Cartier and reportedly costs upwards of $5,000 (or roughly P200,000) is now her favorite accessory. “<i>Hindi puwedeng tanggalin</i> (laughs). <i>Ayun siya, simple lang, lagi kong suot</i>,” she admitted. When it comes to her gifts for Paul, the talented singer-actress said she is not restricted from giving him expensive gifts.</div><div><br/></div><div>So he’s saving up for an engagement ring. “<i>Kasi nanggaling ako ng</i> States. <i>Nagbakasyon kami nung </i>birthday <i>ko</i> so <i>hindi kami magkasama nung </i>birthday vacation <i>na hiningi ko sa </i>ABS-CBN management. So <i>pinasalubungan ko siya ng mga </i>t-shirt, <i>puwede na yun</i> (laughs). <i>Maliit ang </i>budget, vacation<i> lang</i> (laughs).<i> Dati binabantayan ako</i> [<i>sa pagreregalo</i>]. <i>Sabi ni </i>Mommy Pinty, ‘<i>Huwag ka masyado nagbibigay ng mga mamahalin, hindi ka</i> sugar mommy.’<i> Ngayon</i> okay <i>na</i>, okay <i>na kasi marunong na ako</i>,” she explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>Even though she is allowed more freedom to spend on what she wants, Toni said she is not the type to lavish her boyfriend with gifts. “<i>Yung pinakamahal na binigay ko? Hindi ko alam, marami. Pero hindi pa ako nag-gi-</i>gift <i>ng umabot ng</i> million.<i> Hindi ako nag-ga-ganun.
