Vice Ganda on upcoming MMFF entry: 'Hindi naman ako napre-pressure'

The comedian remarked that he’s not anxious at all despite the fact that his movie Sisterakas was last year’s highest grossing film in the festival.</div><div><br/></div><div>“Pressure? <i>Wala hindi nasaman ako napre</i>-pressure<i> kasi unang-una pelikula ko rin naman ‘yung</i> top grosser [last year]<i>, kung hindi ko man siya matalo</i> okay lang <i>kasi</i> at least<i> ako pa rin ‘yung nandodoon, kasama pa rin ako sa</i> number one,” he said.</div><div><br/></div><div>The unkabogable star added that he is confident about his new MMFF movie titled <i>Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy</i>. <i>“Ini</i>-enjoy<i> ko lang at </i>confident<i> ako don sa mga </i>projects<i> na ginagawa ko. Kausap ko nga ‘yung mga taga </i>Star Cinema <i>sabi ko sobrang</i> confident <i>ako dito, tatalunin nito ang Sisterakas,</i>” he stated.</div><div><br/></div><div>On Kris Aquino who stars in a competing movie, Vice stressed that there is no competition going on between the two of them. “<i>Nagkakausap kami lagi, pinuntahan ko nga siya sa</i> shoot<i> nila eh binisita ko sila eh </i>very minimal<i> lang naman ‘yung</i> role ni Kris.”</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked whom he thinks is his biggest contender at the festival, Vice answered promptly, <i>“Si</i> Vic (Sotto). <i>Siyempre lagi namang sila eh, lagi namang</i> strong contender<i> ang pelikula ni </i>Vic Sotto.” But Vice believes that the market of his current film is different from Vic’s. <i>“Eh ang layo ng </i>market <i>ko sa </i>market<i> nila kasi</i> mostly<i> bata sila eh, kasi ang parang bida don sa pelikula</i>, I heard ha, Bimby and Ryzza Mae, so <i>parang pelikula nong dalawang bata. </i>Although may market <i>akong bata pero mas may malawak pa ang pwede kong i-ano.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Vice relayed that Ejay Falcon and JC de Vera are his leading men in<i> Girl, Boy, Bakla, Tomboy</i>.<i> “Siyempre hindi pwedeng wala noh, meron,</i> hand-picked, request,<i> nakalagay sa kontrata,”</i> he quipped. </div><div><br/></div><div><i>“Si </i>JC super crush <i>ko, si</i> Ejay <i>kasi panahon ‘yun ng Dugong Buhay eh, eh naging</i> fan<i> ako ng Dugong Buhay tapos</i> hot<i> na</i> hot <i>ako sa kanya nong panahong naghuhubad at nagkakalbo siya, sabi ko</i>, ‘Okay Direk Wenn (Deramas), <i>kunin mo ‘yan ha,’ sabi kong ganon, gawin na nating</i> love interest <i>‘yan sa</i> movie. <i>Si </i>JC <i>don sa bakla si</i> Ejay <i>don sa babae</i>,” he shared.</div><div><br/></div>
