James Yap held a block screening of My Little Bossings,
where his son Bimby made his acting debut. A hundred and fifty viewers attended the said screening, including James’ basketball teammates and his fans, who even posted a picture of the event on Instagram.
Bimby wasn’t able to attend the special screening. Nonetheless, James said over a phone interview how proud he was of his son.
Ex-wife Kris Aquino greeted this news with exuberance. “Ay good! Praise God. Thank God at ‘buti naman supportive na siya of Bimb. It matters and I think he’ll be proud of how well his son performed. Thank you. Thank you James! God bless you. Peace!”
My Little Bossings was hailed third best festival film at the Metro Manila Film Festival and it still holds the number one box office spot. However, it is not clear whether there will be a sequel and if Bimby will be allowed to play his role again. “Yung akin kasi, nag-aaral and ayoko kasi ma-accuse ako later on. Alam niyo naman medyo hindi kami okay ng tatay, so baka kasi masabi na napabayaan yung pag-aaral.”
Kris also clarified that the profit from James’s screening for his son will go to Bimby’s trust fund. Kris also thanks James for “ensuring the future of my son.”
