After her Star Cinema comedy Call Center Girl, Jessy Mendiola is getting ready to start shooting on another movie project, this time with John Lloyd Cruz. The 20-year-old actress admitted she is excited to be paired with one of the Kapamilya network's most coveted leading men.
“I feel really pressured, I feel really nervous because it's John Lloyd Cruz, but he's a very good actor. I'm a big fan of John Lloyd Cruz-Bea Alonzo love team and for me, I feel very lucky na napili ako.
Jessy said she wasn't able to confirm her inclusion in the project until she watched the news.
With all the intrigues that go with having to work closely with a new leading man, Jessy brushed off the possibility considering Lloydy's high profile relationship with fellow actress Angelican Panganiban. For me, professional lang lahat. Hindi ko kaya yun (laughs),” she said.
After being recently appointed as honorary ambassador by the Korean Tourism Organization, the still single actress admitted she thought of the possibility of meeting someone during her visit to Seoul where she got to interview celebrities like Sandara Park and boy bands Shinee and Boyfriend. Maganda yung balat,” she recalled. When asked if it was possible or her to go out with a Korean, the mestiza actress said she was open to it.
The Maria Mercedes star also gave her observation regarding the Korean people in general during her tour there this year. “Kaya sila makikinis, kaya sila fit kasi believe it or not, hindi sila masyado mahilig magdala ng kotse. Mahilig sila maglakad, mahilig sila mag-subway. From their houses to their work sobrang layo, siguro mga ten blocks kailangan mong lakarin, mga ganun kalayo. Tapos yung food pa nila, they have 11 courses sa isang food nila, yung appetizers nila lima tapos yung main course dalawa tapos yung dessert nila madami. Siguro sa kanila, kaya sila ganun kaganda, inaalagaan nila yung sarili nila, hindi lang dahil sa plastic surgery but also with their cosmetics and healthy food. As much as possible I will try to promote everything not just plastic surgery but also their food there, their shopping districts, sobrang magandang places sobrang dami. Korea is a very inspiring country and when you go there it's very different. Different but in a good way,” she said.
