Director-politician Lino Cayetano will be welcoming 2014 with someone really special to the person of his new wife, former UAAP volleyball player Fille Cainglet.
The couple, according to a Buzz ng Bayan report aired on Sunday, has tied the knot on December 27 in a garden wedding reportedly in Mactan, Cebu.
The new Mrs. Cayetano from Bacolod is said to be 12 year younger than the 2nd District of Taguig Congressman. She came to be known by being among the star players of the 75th season of UAAP as part of the Ateneo Lady Spikers.
Reports have it that the couple met summer this year at a volleyball tournament held in Taguig and that their first “formal” date took place at a restaurant in Teacher’s Village, Quezon City.
Recall that news of their wedding was first revealed on the blog of columnist-actor Ogie Diaz but the actual confirmation came only last December 19 when Lino’s sister, Senator Pia Cayetano confirmed it via Twitter saying that, “Yes my brother is engaged to the ninja @FilleisFly.”
Just two weeks ago, Fille, via her Instagram account posted a sketch of a gown by designer JC Buendia. The wedding which was said to have happened around four o’clock in the afternoon on Friday was officiated by pastor Cornelio Castillo.
Furthermore, the Buzz ng Bayan report added that only the couple’s closest friends and family were invited to the wedding and that a separate party would be held in Makati for their other friends January next year.
Apart from being a Kapamilya director, a brother of two incumbent senators and a lawmaker himself, Lino also hogged headlines in the past for being involved with popular showbiz personalities, among them were host Bianca Gonzalez, celebrity stylist Liz Uy, Queen of All Media Kris Aquino, actress KC Concepcion, and more recently with Shaina Magdayao.
Fille for her part is practically a non-showbiz personality for she works in the marketing department of one of the country’s power companies, but has reportedly expressed her desire to file a leave in order to help the 36-year-old congressman to manage his coffee shop business in Bonifacio Global City.
