Enrique Gil offers explanation on King of the Gil incident that dismayed his fans

<div><img src='' alt='121913-Enrique1_Main.jpg' width='400' height='290' align='left' border='0'>Although it’s been three weeks since his sold-out dance concert <i>King of the Gil </i>took place at the Araneta Coliseum, some fans of Enrique Gil seem to be taking quite a while to move on from it. Hordes of fans of his tandem with onscreen partner Julia Montes collectively known as JulQuens have aired their dismay over what happened in the show.</div><div><br/></div><div>Julia, unlike the other guests at the concert, unfortunately wasn’t able to even say “hi” or thank her fans after her performance, an incident which reportedly earned the ire of the JulQuen fans that trooped to the Big Dome.</div><div><br/></div><div>Knowing that many fans were disappointed, Enrique, in an interview during their grand fans day held by <i>Cinema One </i>and <i>StarStudio</i> Magazine in Trinoma on Monday, took the opportunity to finally clarify what really happened that night. “Yes, yes originally <i>kasi ‘yung</i> feel <i>nung </i>dance concert <i>ang gusto sana namin </i>is less talk and more of energy<i> kasi ‘pag</i> dance concert<i> dapat mataas ang</i> energy <i>eh. Hindi siya parang</i> comedy concert<i> na nag-uusap, na pwedeng mag-</i>relax.<i> Siyempre ‘yung tao nakaupo [kaya]</i> they need to feel<i> ‘yung</i> hype<i> kahit nakaupo,”</i> he started.</div><div><i><br/></i></div><div><i>“Lahat ng</i> guests <i>ko may</i> time<i> talaga na mag</i>-spiel.<i> Siyempre</i> guest<i> ko eh, kailangan naman [makapagsalita sila]. Ang problema kasi may ibang </i>prods <i>na dire-diretso ako [ang magpe-</i>perform] <i>na kailangan kong magpalit kasi may ibang</i> prod <i>like si </i>Kathryn [Bernardo], <i>dire-diretso hindi ako nagpalit no’n</i>. <i>Eh</i> after Julia, LED<i> ako</i> <i>eh. Puro ilaw kaya</i> I had to change to my next costume <i>kasi ako nanaman ang susunod. Eh puro ilaw ‘yun eh tsaka may</i> battery <i>kaya dapat tanggalin nung oras na ‘yun kaya tinanggal na ‘yung </i>spiel<i> ni</i> Julia <i>kasi mabilisan lang eh tapos ako kaagad ‘yung susunod,</i>” said the 21-year-old actor-dancer.</div><div><br/></div><div>Enrique underscored that there were actually other guests aside from Julia who also weren’t able to say their spiels like Kim Chiu. <i>“‘Yun ang problema. Eh wala talaga tayong magagawa kasi sila ang nagpapalit ng sequence,”</i> he stated.</div><div><br/></div><div>Enrique apologized to his fans, particularly those who expected the concert to be as perfect as possible.<i> “Hindi naman natin mapi-</i>please<i> lahat. Ako,</i> personally,<i> gusto ko siyempre mag</i>-hi ‘<i>yung mga </i>guests<i> ko sa mga</i> fans,<i> pero hindi talaga nagawa eh </i>so sorry,” he offered.</div><div><br/></div><div>During a separate interview at the same event, Julia, who was also familiar with the criticisms of fans after the concert, stressed that no one is to blame for what happened. <i>“Kung tutuusin wala naman talaga siya sa</i> program <i>na magsasalita </i>and <i>ang </i>hassle<i> rin naman kung magsasalita pa ako tapos may</i> next prod <i>siya na </i>program,” Julia clarified.</div><div><br/></div><div>She continued, <i>“Walang dapat i-</i>blame<i> kasi alam ko na talaga ‘yon na</i> from the start <i>eh ganon talaga na no</i> talkies.”</div><div><br/></div>
