Matteo Guidicelli on 'Saturday Night Chills': 'I really enjoyed every single moment of it'

112313-mateo-main.jpgSaturday Night Chills star Matteo Guidicelli admitted that he had always wanted to do an indie film about a group of friends. “You know it’s really funny because I really wanted to do indie first of all. Me and my friends were always talking about parang barkada on how they are in real life when no one is looking and a few months after, direk Ian (Lorenos) approached me and presented the movie to me and it’s exactly about what I am thinking about guys na when no one is looking so ‘yun it’s a coincidence talaga,” he said in a interview with Push.com.ph.

The Galema actor who bagged the Best Actor award alongside his co-stars Joseph Marco and Rayver Cruz during the Cinema One Originals Festival is thankful for the opportunity to work in this new indie project. “I know it’s a blessing and I really enjoyed the shoot and no regrets, I really enjoyed every single moment of it. And you know it’s such a good opportunity to work with direk Ian, he’s an award-winning director sa Alagwa pa lang with Jericho (Rosales). It’s an honor to work with him. Sobrang iba ‘yung style niya at sobrang sarap makatrabaho.”

Matteo relayed that making an indie film is really different from doing a mainstream movie. “Sobrang different. I guess for my experience especially in direk Ian’s set, it’s really free, literally it’s free. Eighty percent of the movie wala kaming dialogue, we just discuss what the scenes are all about and we make it out, so it’s really free, very spontaneous in every scene.”

Is he open to doing daring roles in the future? “It really depends. There’s a lot of aspects to it, like this, it’s a free movie, it’s R-18, but no sex scenes, no nudity. It’s just because of the language of how we talk, so it’s basically talaga about three guys in there young adult years and it’s a true story and a lot of young people can relate to it,” he commented.

On producing an indie project himself, the actor is open to the possibility, but he wants to focus on acting first. “Maybe in the future [I’ll produce], that would be amazing. I have some ideas. But I want to really think about the acting first. My goal talaga is [gaining] credibility with my work so I’m going to work hard first and learn from all these people,” he stated.
