Cristine Reyes on 'Honesto' 'Bagay na bagay ako sa show kasi honest ako'

<div><img src='' alt='112313-Cristine_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>As the newest character in the Primetime Bida series <i>Honesto</i>, Cristine Reyes said she is not yet certain whether her role as Marie, the mysterious nurse who falls for her ward (played by Paulo Avelino) will be a hero or villain in the story. “<i>Ipagpalagay na lang natin na magiging malaki ang parte ko sa buhay ni </i>Paulo. So <i>hindi ko masagot kung bida or kontrabida ako dito</i>,” she shared.</div><div><br/></div><div>The 24-year old actress said she is happy with all the good projects she has been given this year. “Thankful and <i>nagugulat din ako sa lahat ng dumadating kaya </i>right now <i>sobrang </i>excited <i>ako</i> and may drive <i>ako na mas lalo pang pagbutihin yung mga projects na gagawin ko ngayon kasi na</i>-appreciate <i>nila yung mga ginawa ko</i> this year and <i>nung</i> last year and last, last year. <i>Dun ako kumukuha ng</i> drive <i>para pagbutihin pa lalo and sobra kong gusto itong ginagawa ko, yung pag</i>-arte <i>kasi alam ko nag-e</i>-enjoy <i>ako dun</i> so thankful <i>ako</i>,” she admitted.</div><div><br/></div><div>With regards to her <i>Honesto</i> co-star Paulo who just recently admitted to being single again, Cristine said she is not looking for romance on the set. She said this is her first time to work with the Kapamilya heartthrob who also came from her old network. “It doesn’t mean <i>naman kapag</i> partner <i>mo ang isang lalake at</i> single <i>siya eh magiging kayo</i>. As much as possible <i>sana hindi kasi parang</i> every project boyfriend <i>mo yung</i> guy so <i>parang hindi siya</i> okay. <i>Hindi naman, kasi hindi naman lahat ng lalake eh nagiging</i> boyfriend <i>ko</i>. Si Paulo<i> hindi ko nga</i> sure <i>kung naabutan ko siya sa</i> GMA but <i>nakasama ko siya</i> once <i>dahil kay</i> Jake Cuenca <i>pero sa labas yun</i>,<i> hindi ko pa siya nakatrabaho</i>,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>When asked if they immediately had chemistry while doing their scenes, Cristine said it is heard to gauge that because Paulo is supposedly in a coma during their first scenes together. “<i>Nakapag</i>-taping <i>na kami, siya yung una kong naka</i>-eksena. <i>Kaso hindi pa kami nag-uusap sa eksena</i> so<i> ako lang yung puro salita sa eksena, siya yung nakahiga lang dun. Naaksidente siya. Sa</i> chemistry <i>naman namin, abangan natin yan</i> (laughs),” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>From <i>Bukas Na lang Kita Mamahalin</i> to <i>Honesto</i>, Cristine said she is welcome to doing more wholesome roles. “<i>Siguro pero hindi ko alam sa </i>future<i> kung ano pa yung mga gagawin ko dito sa</i> ABS-CBN. And <i>ako naman kung ano naman ang ibigay sa akin at alam kong gusto ko at ma-cha</i>-challenge <i>ako</i>, <i>tatanggapin ko yun eh. Mas gusto ko na walang pahinga kesa sa puro pahinga</i>. If ever <i>naman na marami akong trabaho, nakakapag</i>-request <i>naman ako sa</i> Viva (her management) <i>ng</i> extension <i>na</i> two days <i>kapag may</i> work <i>ako</i> abroad. <i>Pinapayagan naman nila ako, hindi naman sila mahigpit,</i>” she explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>Known for her outspoken and frank personality, Cristine said she is a good fit to the show that espouses the value of honesty among children. “<i>Sobra ba? Siguro kaya rin ako nasa</i> <i>Honesto </i>(laughs)<i> siguro bagay na bagay ako sa</i> show <i>kasi</i> honest <i>ako</i>,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>Cristine said unlike her bad girl persona, she is like any normal single girl off-cam. “<i>Hindi kasi sanay yung mga tao na nakikita nila ako</i> as me, Cristine Reyes <i>na ako talaga so hindi alam ng mga tao na </i>playful <i>ako </i>and mapagbiro. <i>Kung alam lang nila kung gaano ka-kenkoy </i>or <i>ka-kikay,</i> actually tame <i>pa yung nakikita nila sa</i> TV. <i>Lalo na pag kasama ko yung mga kaibigan ko</i> and lahat <i>ng mga taong </i>close <i>sa akin, yung</i> manager <i>ko at</i> Viva <i>alam nila yun</i>. So <i>hindi ko maalis yan katulad nung sa Showtime at ng</i> <i>Gandang Gabi Vice, pati Buzz ng Bayan kasi kampante ako kila</i> tito Boy (Abunda) <i>pati kay ate</i> Mina (Villaroel) <i>at ate</i> Janice (de Belen) <i>kasi kilala ko sila</i> ever since bata <i>pa ako</i> and <i>kilala nila ako na sobrang</i> playful <i>ako</i>,” she added.</div><div><br/></div><div>Watch Cristine Reyes in <i>Honesto</i> weeknights after <i>TV Patrol</i> on ABS-CBN Primetime Bida.
