Stars offer help to Super Typhoon Yolanda's victims
111213-Kris1_Main.jpgIn the wake of Super Typhoon Yolanda, some celebrities are pitching in to help out the victims of the strongest storm on record.

Queen of All Media Kris Aquino gave a cheque amounting to P400,000 for those affected in Ormoc province, which was revealed via an Instagram post by 4th district of Ormoc representative Lucy Torres-Gomez and husband Richard Gomez. Apart from her cash donation, the Kris TV host, via a post on her Instagram account, also revealed that, through her sponsor's help, she would be sending over 300 cases of canned goods to Visayas.

Anne Curtis opted to raise money by selling her clothes via a garage sale. The garage sale named "sANNEday garage sale" was held on Sunday at a mall in Taguig where the It's Showtime host's used dresses, blazers, shorts, and even the gowns she wore on a couple of special occasions were sold. Anne's beau Erwan Heussaff also sold a bunch of his clothes at the event as well.

According to the singer-actress, via a post on her Instagram account on Monday, the garage sale was able to successfully raise P370,000. She added that all the proceeds of the garage sale will go to World Vision Philippines.

Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez chose to auction her designer bags, shoes, accessories, and gowns for the casualties of the super typhoon. Her husband, singer-composer Ogie Alcasid also joined her cause by putting his watches up for auction.

Young actress Julia Montes, according to a TV Patrol report on Monday, will also be holding her very own garage sale for the typhoon victims soon.

On the other hand, other stars opted to make use of their talents to raise funds, among them are the It's Showtime hosts Vhong Navarro, Billy Crawford, and Jhong Hilario, who announced on the show's Monday episode that they would be holding a charity basketball game soon together with Zanjoe Marudo, Rayver Cruz, and cager LA Tenorio.

Singer-host Karylle said she would hold a fundraiser via her ongoing stage musical Cinderella. While box office comedian Vice Ganda announced that he would be organizing a comedy concert this week, all proceeds of which will be going to the typhoon victims.

While her daughter KC Concepcion is helping the UN World Food Program, Megastar Sharon Cuneta meanwhile pledged to give P10,000,000 for the victims of the typhoon.
