Sarah Geronimo shares lessons learned from botched romances

<div><img src='' alt='111013-sarah_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>In a very rare occasion, the typically-tight-lipped Pop Star Princess Sarah Geronimo looks back at the two times that she has had her heart broken and actually opens up her heart about what she was able to take out from those experiences.</div><div><br/></div><div>Without naming names, the 25-year-old star, during a taped interview on 'Buzz ng Bayan' on Sunday, shared that both times that she opened her heart to someone allowed her to ably discern when she should let go.</div><div><br/></div><div>“‘<i>Yung  natutunan ko sa una, natutunan ko ‘yung </i>acceptance <i>na siguro </i>we’re not meant for each other. <i>Siguro hindi pa ito ‘yung panahon namin. ‘Yun ‘yung dalawang ‘yon naglalaro,” </i>Sarah revealed.</div><div><br/></div><div>But while she wasn’t able to continue being in a romantic relationship with the said person, Sarah’s grateful that they were able to salvage their friendship.</div><div><br/></div><div> <i>“Pero ang importante sa lahat na napagpatuloy ‘yung </i>friendship. <i>‘Yung pagmamahal mo isang tao na ‘yon, ‘yun ‘yong hinding hindi na mawawala. ‘Yun ‘yung makita mo lang siya, makausap mo lang siya. </i>Okay <i>na,”</i> she recalled.</div><div><br/></div><div>Sarah revealed however that her second shot at love left her reeling and aching much more than the first one. But it did however allowed her to discover her worth as a person and as a woman.</div><div><br/></div><div>She explained,<i> “Na merong pag-ibig na hindi para sayo. Pag-ibig na [masasabi mo na]</i> ‘I deserve someone better.’ <i>Magmahal ng totoo, ng tama, ngayon kung hindi niya suklian ‘yon. </i>Sorry. <i>At least ako naging totoo ako sayo, minahal kita ng totoo.”</i></div><div><i><br/></i></div><div>For the longest time, Sarah’s love life has been the subject of interest for the public because rumor has it that even at her age she’s not given free reign about it by her parents, Mommy Divine and Daddy Delfin Geronimo, an issue which she has addressed countless times in the past.</div><div><br/></div><div>But she confessed that there came a point when all the rumors hurled towards her somehow got her thinking twice.</div><div><br/></div><div><i>“Kasi ‘yun nga may </i>freedom of speech <i>ang bawat tao at meron ka minsang nababasa at naririnig na [masasabi mo nalang na] ‘may </i>point <i>sila. Bakit nga ba ganon?’</i>” she quipped.</div><div><br/></div><div>However, the ever-subservient Sarah quickly backpedalled and noted that at the end of the day “<i>Importante parin po na ino</i>-honor <i>mo ang mga magulang mo at</i> evident <i>‘yan</i> everytime <i>na sinusunod mo sila na talagang ire-</i>reward<i> ka ng Diyos.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Her addition then spawned the question as to how far can a parent actually meddle with the matters of the heart of their child.</div><div><br/></div><div><i>“Para sa akin siguro </i>at 25, <i>importante talaga na</i> you have to make your own decisions <i>lalo na sa pag-ibig. Siguro noong unang  panahon po, pero ngayon hindi kana madidiktahan eh kung sino ang gugustuhin mo, kung kanina ka ma-i-</i>in love. <i>Importante nalang, sana mapatunayan mo na tama ang desisyon mo tungkol sa taong minahal mo. At sana ganon din ‘yung taong magmamahal sayo, mapatunayan rin ang sarili niya,”</i> said 'The Voice of the Philippines' coach.</div><div><br/></div><div>Recall that Sarah’s known controversial romances in showbiz were those with 'Bukas Nalang Kita Mamahalin' actors Rayver Cruz which ended in 2010 and with Gerald Anderson which ended last year. Both men allegedly failed to win the hearts of Sarah’s Mommy Divine. </div><div><br/></div><div>In a way, it appeared that the singer-actress confirmed this rumor herself during her “Buzz ng Bayan” appearance saying that <i>“Hanggang ngayon naman wala po eh” </i>when asked if her parents approved of the two men she fell in love with.</div><div><br/></div><div>Off late though, Sarah is being linked to Fil-Italian Matteo Guidicelli. While the two have been mum as to the true score between them, Sarah gave a pretty ambiguous response as to whether or not she’s currently in love.</div><div><br/></div><div>She said, <i>“Hindi ko po kayo masasagot ng diretso pero nagdadasal po ako at hoping ako na tama ‘yung ginagawa ko.”</i></div>
