Piolo Pascual wants his son Iñigo to prioritize his studies over showbiz. “He just did [a movie] because it was summer but there’s not going to be any promo kasi ang usapan namin we're going to use the credential points for college so parang credit points ‘yun sa course na kukunin niya so pwede niyang gamitin ‘yun para sa scholarship, only for that. Para sa akin pag-aaral muna talaga,” he said.
The actor is glad though that his son was given the opportunity to star in a movie. “He's really happy, he never complains, and I’m happy na nakagawa siya ng pelikula. Di ko maisip na at this early nakagawa siya.”
PJ is doing a movie as well, starring alongside Toni Gonzaga. “Ah mabilis kami nagsho-shoot, almost half, we already shot, siyempre it’s exciting because the last time I work with her was Milan, nakakatuwa to be working with her again,” he shared.
On Toni, the actor said that he took notice of the actress’s evolution. “Ibang Toni Gonzaga ang makikita niyo dito maski ako eh natutuwa ako sa kanya kasi parang how she’s being transformed, makikita mo talaga ‘yung growth niya as an actress. I’m happy because I’m working with her now at dito makikita talaga ng tao na she's a good actress.”
Piolo admitted that he tried courting Toni before when the latter was still starting out in show business. “Yes [niligawan ko siya] when she was starting out in ABS pero di nga natuloy noon kasi busy siya, busy ako tapos iba naman ‘yung priority niya noon, bata pa siya. Lumabas kami once or twice but that's it.”
The actor attended the Star Magic Games last Sunday. He said that he always looks forward to the annual event. “We try everything with Star Magic, the ball, the charity events, but of course we have to have something that's lighter that we needed to do. We always have to dress up, we have to be glamorous and we have to be our best pero dito sa Star Magic Games it's all about being a sport, the camaraderie and you get to see your fellow Kapamilyas on a day na walang P.A., walang acting involved.”
