Judy Ann Santos says exercising with husband Ryan Agoncillo is one of their favorite bonding activities.
As the host of the local franchise of the hit American game show Bet on Your Baby
, Judy Ann Santos said she is excited to work on a totally different kind of show. After MasterChef Pinoy
Edition which had an adult and junior edition, hew new show will have toddlers from two to three-and-a-half years old as “contestants” who will complete different games that will test how strong their bond is with their parents.
The 35-year-old actress-host admitted she is still learning to be a better host. “Now really I'm just trying to be comfortable with hosting because hosting a game show at that, not just hosting. Itong game shows with babies is very different kasi the time and you also have to be perky, you have to know the words and everything. Buti nga wala pa akong nagiging guest na mahirap kausapin eh (laughs). But in this case, ang bilin lang naman sa akin ng asawa ko is just have fun. So that's what I'm trying to do now. Yun ang pina-practice ko, to have fun and look comfortable kasi whenever nag-te-taping, andiyan yung kaba, sumasakit yung tiyan ko tapos nahihilo na ako. Yung lahat ng tension naramdaman ko na so maybe it's because I'm not yet that comfortable with my playground now but I’m pretty sure naman na siguro pag patapos na siya kumportable na ako (laughs),” she said.
Aside from being busy with work, Juday said she also has her hands full with her children. This makes finding time to exercise a challenge everyday. “Ngayon iba iba workout eh, it really depends kung ano yung mood ko pero yung exercise will always be part of my everyday activity. Before I would do Zumba or anti-gravity yoga, now I am doing 360 circuit training. Actually masaya siya, mukhang mahirap pakinggan kasi medyo nakakatakot eh di ba? Pero once you try it out masaya siya,” she admitted.
Juday said she has also gotten into circuit training after being influenced by her friend. “I saw it sa Instagram ni (celebrity hairstylist) Jing Monis. Ever since kasi I've been very athletic and for some reason, pagka-paulit ulit na yung routine na ginagawa ko natatamad ka na parang yung katawan mo hindi na siya nagbabago kasi nasanayan na niya sa ganung workout. So I try to try out different exercises. Before I did Muay Thai then I did boxing, Pilates and then yoga then anti-gravity, Zumba, nag-biking din ako and running. 360 kasi is basically CrossFit pero it's a total body workout. In 30 minutes you are done already. Parang perfect talaga siya for my schedule right now kasi nagsisimula na ulit ako mag-taping and I’m doing a lot of things all of the same time. It's 30 minutes in a day and then your done and it's a total body workout so yun yung pinaka-nagustuhan ko talaga sa kanya pero I would still go to yoga pag gusto ko at may alone time ako, mag-me-meditate ka ng bonggang bongga. I still do that,” she explained.
One of her favorite bonding activities with her husband Ryan Agoncillo is working out together. “Ngayon magkaiba kami ng workout pero before magkasabay kami. Mukhang ngayon magsasabay kami ulit ng workout kasi parang yun na yung nagiging bonding moment namin, yung tatakbo kami together. Pero kasi minsan nagiging part coach na si Ryan. Hindi na kami nag-uusap, nagsisigawan na kami ng, 'Run! Run!' (laughs). Before nag-ba-bike kami together. Ngayon kasi since matindi ang ulan hindi na ako ulit nakakapag-bike pero si Ryan diri-diretso na siya ng pag-ba-bike ulit after getting sick. So okay na siya,” she revealed.
The Bet on Your Baby host also shared the reason for her new shorter hairstyle. “Para maiba naman. Kasi parang for the longest time long hair na ako and I did a teleserye. I just wanted a new look. I wanted a new beginning. I just wanted to cut my hair. (laughs),” she said.
