Enrique Gil discusses how he wants his character in 'Muling Buksan ng Puso' to be remembered

100213-Enrique1_main.jpgWhen asked where he drew the emotions needed for his heavy scenes in Muling Buksan ang Puso, Enrique Gil said that it still remains a mystery to him.

Now that the soap is ending, the actor said he wants his character to be remembered as someone who’s selfless. “Gusto ko maalala ng viewers ko kay Francis is kahit nanggaling siya sa ibang bansa, in some way gusto niyang maayos lahat eh kahit alam niyang wala siya sa position at kahit alam niya na may sakit siya sa puso wala ‘yun kay Francis eh. Hindi niya iniisip ang sarili niya, parang ganon ‘yun, which I learned from my dad na nakikita ko tuwing eksena which is giving, giving, giving, selfless talaga,” he said.

Enrique relayed that fans were tweeting him for MBAP to be extended but according to him, the story was fixed from the very beginning and that it could no longer be stretched.  “Sa Twitter, pati sa mga writers na minsan na nagsasabi sa akin bakit magtatapos na, na sana i-extend pa bakit matatapos na kasi nafe-feel nila papaano pa lang ‘yung kwento, pero actually from the start ‘yung kwento namin hanggang dito lang talaga, di gaya ng ibang show na ‘yung ending nai-extend pa, ‘yung ending pa naiiba pa pero ito talaga from the start naka-fix na ang story, naka-fix na ang ending so wala, ganon talaga but in a way nakaka-miss din ‘yung mga co-actors namin, ‘yung mga crew and staff, actually five days in a week kami nagti-taping, hindi lang three times a week so kahit na pagod sa taping lagi in a way after lahat, hahanapin mo rin,” he shared.

Enrique is set to star in an upcoming movie titled She’s the One with Bea Alonzo and Dingdong Dantes. Did Muling Buksan Ang Puso become his training ground for more mature roles? “Hindi kasi ‘yung character ko sa She’s the One, hindi naman masyadong mature ‘yun eh, the kind of same level as Francis pero as a warm up, I mean, siyempre lahat naman ng trabaho na ginagawa ko which is with new actors and actresses na nakakasama ko you always learn something. Kanina sa taping namin natuto naman ako. It’s never ending kasi kung iba't iba ‘yung tao na nakakasama mo pero kung ipagsama mo sa lahat, so if you really pay attention sa mga actors… kaya kung nandon na sila Ms. Susan Roces sulitin mo na.”
