After starring in the fantaserye series Aryana earlier this year, Ella Cruz said she is excited to start working on her next series You’re My Home which also stars Dawn Zulueta, Richard Gomez, Enchong Dee, Shaina Magdayao, Iza Calzado, and Francis Magundayao. “I'm happy and excited kasi magiging busy na ulit. Hindi ko alam kung puwede na sabihin kasi baka medyo confidential pa,” she said.
Ella admitted she was patiently waiting for her next big project and kept herself busy with appearances on ASAP and most recently on Wansapanataym. Yung next teleserye ko talagang medyo kakaiba, siguro mas gagalingan ko this time. Baka drama talaga siya. At saka mukha talaga siyang drama dahil sa mga kasama ko,” she said during the Lee Denim Do-It-Yourself Workshop Event held last October 16 at URBN bar in BGC. During the event, Ella took part in designing her own pair of jeans. The young actress admitted she prefers wearing jeans on ordinary days when she doesn't have work.
As part of the new breed of younger actresses in the Kapamilya network, Ella said she is not threatened by her talented peers like Julia Montes and Kathryn Bernardo. Pag may dumating, dadating yun. Siguro lang hindi pa ito yung time ulit,” she explained.
Ella admitted she is not yet ready to take on roles that focus on love teams or tackle more mature issues just yet.
As part of the new cast of upcoming drama You’re My Home, Ella said she feels lucky to be given a good project. The talented teen actress admitted she wants to work with more veteran stars in her next projects so she can learn from them. When it comes to her dream leading men, Ella couldn't help but admit she found Enrique Gil very attractive after watching him in Muling Buksan Ang Puso. “Siguro si Enrique Gil puwede. Wala basta. Malay niyo naman (laughs),” she shyly admitted.
Ella said she is still good friends with her Aryana leading men Paul Salas and Francis Magundayao. Tapos minsan lumalabas labas pa rin kami,” she said.
