Megan Young: 'To ABS-CBN, thank you. You are my home'

<div><img src='' alt='101513-Megan_Main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>An overwhelmed and teary-eyed Megan Young arrived at her ABS-CBN welcome party on Monday night, October 14, 2013. A grand dinner was held at the ABS-CBN compound in honor of the beauty queen together with the big bosses of the network, the members of the <i>Miss World</i> organization, and the <i>Star Magic</i> team whom Megan referred to as her family. “<i>Star Magic naman eh, na kahit anong mangyari, kayo talaga ‘yung naging magulang ko</i>,”<i> the Miss World 2013 </i>stated.</div><div><br/></div><div>Megan extended her heartfelt gratitude to the <i>Star Magic </i>team and its heads, Johnny Manahan and Mariole Alberto who contributed a lot to her success. <i>“Pasasalamatan ko ngayon si </i>Mr. M (Johnny Manahan)<i> at si </i>Ms. Mariole,<i> sila talaga ‘yung nag-alalay sa akin, sila ‘yung pangalawang magulang ko</i>. Thank you Mr. M. and Ms. Mariole<i> kasi pinalaki niyo ako ng maganda at mabuti,</i>” she said in her speech.</div><div><br/></div><div>She remarked that Star Magic has honed her towards becoming the beauty queen that she is now. “<i>Sa</i> confidence<i> ko ngayon, Star Magic ko natutunan lahat ‘yon, maraming salamat talaga, siguro buo ako kasi parte na rin ang Star Magic ng buhay ko</i>,” she said.</div><div><br/></div><div>She added,  <i>“Sobrang </i>overwhelmed<i> lang talaga ako sa mga nangyayari ngayon na sa bawat oras na nakikita ko sila mama, na minsan lang mangyari at ngayon makita ko kayo</i>. <i>Gusto ko nga isang araw sa</i> office <i>[ng Star Magic] lang ako nakatambay dadaan lang ako don para mapasaya kayo sa</i> office.”</div><div><br/></div><div>In closing her speech, Megan expressed her happiness to be celebrating her success in the network which she considers her home. “<i>Masaya ako na nandito ako kasi pagkapasok ko pa lang, alam ko na</i> I was home. To ABS-CBN, thank you. You are my home, you know that and I love you guys so much, I do, I really do. Thank you.”</div><div><br/></div>

Megan Young thanks ABS-CBN, which she considers her 'home', for honing her to succeed.
