101413-TheBuzz_Main.jpgIn a shocking turn that topped the show's intrigues for that day, October 13, came the announcement that Toni Gonzaga and Charlene Gonzales would be leaving "The Buzz," one of the country's longest-running showbiz-oriented show, after three years of being part of the show.

The announcement came just before the show wrapped up wherein a montage of the best and memorable moments and interviews of the two lady hosts were shown with host Boy Abunda recalling the special journey that they have all embarked on for the past three years.

It was Boy who broke the ice after the montage by saying that, "Sa haba ng aming nilakbay dito sa 'The Buzz' with these two, my friendship with you Charlene and Toni will always be bigger than any show."

The beauty queen-turned-host quipped that she will miss the show and "'Yung mga usapan natin backstage" which Toni fondly called as "ang totoong 'The Buzz.'"

On a serious note, Aga Muhlach's wife waxed nostalgic as she thanked the show and revealed the very reason why she accepted "The Buzz" in the first place.

“I just want to say thank you sa 'Buzz' family, sa lahat ng bumubuo ng 'Buzz,' thank you for this wonderful journey. It was a privilege and honor to be able to share the stage with two of the greatest artists in the industry – Toni Gonzaga and Boy Abunda,” she said.

Isa rin sa mga reasons kung bakit ko rin tinanggap ang show na ito is because I want to work with the greats like the both of you. I would say that one of the best gifts that I received from this show was the friendship of you Boy and Toni. Mula sa puso ko maraming maraming salamat and thank you for this wonderful journey,” she added.

Meanwhile the "The Voice of the Philippines" host opted to view their departure from the show from a different perspective by saying hat, “I believe that goodbyes don't  really mean that it’s the end or tapos na ang lahat. It just means na 'yung pamamaalam namin sa hapon na ito ay I’ll see you again. I will miss all of you.”

Toni later on thanked Charlene and Boy for the experience and noted that she will forever have so much respect for the both of them.

Gusto ko magpasalamat sa Talk Unit for this wonderful opportunity, for letting me be a part of a show like 'The Buzz.' Maraming salamat din kay Tito Boy, he is the most generous person na nakilala ko sa industriyang ito. Hindi po nagsasawang ibahagi sa amin ang nalalaman niya sa industriya, I learned so much from him. Ate Charlene, I will always look up to you as a mom and as a wife. I have so much respect for the both of you and to share the same stage with the both of you every Sunday is such an honor,” she said.

While Toni and Charlene's departure has yet to be explicitly explained, a teaser after the show revealed a new trailer with the title "Ang Buzz ng Bayan" which is set to air on October 26 featuring Boy together with former "Showbiz Inside Report" hosts Janice de Belen and Carmina Villaroel.
