Angel Locsin now working on comeback soap

101413-angel_main.jpgThree years since she was last seen at the Kapamilya primetime on "Imortal," Angel Locsin will soon be back on TV with a new soap.

According to the actress during a live appearance on The Buzz on Sunday she will be headlining the soap with Jericho Rosales, Maja Salvador and new Kapamilya JC de Vera.

As her fans eagerly await her comeback on the drama scene, many have been wondering what took her return quite a while.

Notwithstanding the projects that didn't push through, Angel is positive that this new one is well worth the wait.

According to her, the soap will air this year however she has yet to reveal what the story will be tackling.

Next week, papasok na kami nila Jericho," the "Four Sisters and A Wedding" actress shared about the soap that she's currently working on.

While she's not out throwing jokes and channeling her comedienne side on "Toda Max" Angel can be seen showing off her other side as a co-host on "It's Showtime," a facet of her career that she has only debuted in last July.

'Yung live tapos lahat mabilis. Eh ako may pagkamahiyain kasi po talaga ako sa personal so mas gusto ko 'yung sa camera lang, 'yung hindi masyadong marami ang tao," she told "The Buzz" host Toni Gonzaga.

But ultimately, Angel revealed that she was initially hesitant to take on the hosting stint for fear that she might not fit into that aspect of the entertainment industry because "Hindi naman ako sosyal, hindi naman ako inglisera ganyan. So baka hindi mag-match."

However, her qualms about hosting dissipated eventually, all thanks to "Showtime's" staff, who according to her, have been very kind to her and who infected her with the desire to make other people happy which is why "nage-enjoy talaga ako sa 'Showtime' kaya madali lang para sakin na ipakita ang totoong ako sa doon."

Is hosting something that she wants to pursue just like doing comedy?
