Kim Chiu reveals that Maja Salvador asked her permission to date Gerald Anderson

Although she no longer has feelings for Gerald, she admitted that she felt betrayed by Maja Salvador whom she considered as one of her closest friends. “For me, I’m happy for them. <i>Wala naman masama kasi pareho naman silang</i> single. <i>Maging masaya na lang po tayo para sa kanilang dalawa. Nakakalungkot lang kasi yung </i>friendship <i>nasayang</i>,” she said in an interview after the press con of <i>Ina Kapatid Anak</i> held at Luxent Hotel last night, January 8.</div><div><br/></div><div>As it is, online fans have been talking about sightings of Gerald and Maja, who recently went on vacation at Misibis Bay in Albay together with some of their closest friends. A photo of Gerald at the wedding of Maja’s close friend also spread on the Internet, which led other people to speculate about the real score between them.</div><div><br/></div><div>On her part, Kim revealed that she was also surprised when she learned about the growing romance. If anything, she felt betrayed by Maja because she trusted her and told her everything about what she went through during her troubles with Gerald back in 2010. “<i>Nagulat ako, hindi ko</i> inexpect<i> na mangyayari itong ganito. Di ba parang bakit? Hindi naman ako</i> bitter <i>kung ano man nangyayari sa kanila.</i> I’m happy for them. <i>Parang nalungkot lang ako kasi  yung taong sinabihan ko nung </i>time <i>na </i>down <i>ako, dun sa....Yun, parang, kinain niya lang yung sinabi niya</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>When <a href=''>Push.com.ph</a> asked if Maja talked to her about the whole thing, Kim revealed that the former actually asked her permission to date Gerald. “She asked permission from me. And I said, <i>‘Bakit kailangan pa magpaalam e wala na ako kay </i>Gerald?’ <i>Wala na talaga. Naano lang ako na madaming taong nagtatanong sa akin </i>about Gerald. <i>parang ako, bakit? Di ba parang, antagal na,</i> three years <i>na</i> [<i>ang lumipas</i>].<i> Andami ng babaeng dumaan</i> after<i> ko</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>Contrary to popular belief, she reiterated that she no longer has feelings for Gerald and she has moved on with her life. “<i>Nakakapagod yung tanong kayo ng tanong sa akin tungkol kay </i>Gerald <i>e andami naman pong dinaananang babae, ‘di ba? Hindi lang naman po ako. Bakit hindi niyo po hingin yung opinyon ng ibang babae</i> since <i>marami naman po sila</i>.” </div><div><br/></div><div>Is there tension between her and Maja in light of what happened? “We’re okay. I don’t care about them. <i>Bahala na siya</i>. She knows Gerald, who Gerald is.<i> Hindi naman po </i>[<i>maapektuhan yung trabaho namin</i>]. We can work professionally. <i>Maganda naman eksena namin, </i>so it’s okay. <i>Hindi naman ako nasasaktan</i> [<i>kapag nakikita ko sila</i>]. It’s okay.”</div><div><br/></div><div>At the end of the interview, Kim maintained that she’d rather focus on the blessings in her life rather than dwell on this issue. “Positivity, to be fearless, and to be happy [that’s what I am looking forward to this 2013].
