JM De Guzman says his goal is to work harder for his family this year.
After the successful run of his afternoon series Angelito Book 2
which ended late last year, JM De Guzman said he has bigger acting goals for this year. “Nakakapagod yung
2012 (laughs) pero
thankful ako kasi yun na yata yung
year na sobrang daming pumasok na
blessings sa buhay ko. May
(laughs). I plan to do better, mas mabigay ko pa yung
” he shared.
The actor shared how he juggled a successful, but challenging year. “Balance lang talaga. This year siguro bago sarili ko, yung family ko muna. Yun yung parang pinalit ko ng goal. Yung goal ko ngayon, everything I do, para sa kapatid ko, para sa parents ko, para solid talaga sila,” he said.
One of JM's goals this year as an actor is to try as many different roles as possible. Yung parang gera? War movie. Puwede ring may espada, ganun (laughs),” he admitted.
Apart from playing dramatic roles on TV, the talented actor also capped off the past year by being part of the Metro Manila Film Fest horror film entry The Strangers along with Julia Montes and Enchong Dee. “Masaya naman yung experience. Masaya po kasi welcoming sila at saka mabait,” he said.
With so many blessings that he received last year, JM said he cannot name just one standout moment. “Wala nga kasi unforgettable, wala akong makalimutang araw eh (laughs). So ayun,” he admitted.
When asked to address issues raised by some critics regarding his show's supposedly abrupt ending last year, JM said he is not bothered by the intrigues. When asked what his state of mind at the moment was, JM calmly answered, “It's very balanced. I’m fine and I’m ready for action (laughs).”
When it comes to his love life, JM said it is not his priority this year. “Saka na (laughs). Trabaho po muna. Resolution ko nga yung mas mapaganda yung trabaho lalo,” he said. The talented actor even shared the state of his heart at the moment. “Right now it’s very big and healthy and full of love,” he admitted.
