Piolo Pascual says he enjoyed bonding with his son Iñigo during the holidays

<div><img src='' alt='012413-piolo_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'>After celebrating his birthday earlier this month, Piolo Pascual revealed he enjoyed just having a simple but meaningful celebration with his family. “<i>Yung ginawa ko nung </i>birthday <i>ko</i> with my nieces and nephews, after <i>mag-</i>church<i> nag-</i>dinner <i>lang kami tapos tulog na,</i>” he shared during the <i>Apoy Sa Dagat</i> presscon held last January 22 at the Dolphy Theater inside the ABS-CBN compound.</div><div><br/></div><div>During the presscon, Piolo admitted to the press that he had an unforgettable time last month when he was finally able to spend much-needed quality time with his son Inigo, who is based in the US. “I’ll see him again maybe in March, but I was with him over the holidays. <i>Masarap</i>, first time<i> ko nakasama anak ko ng</i> Christmas and New Year<i> na hindi kami naghiwalay. </i>So <i>sobrang</i> blessing, <i>kasama ko siya matulog</i> every night. <i>Sobra yung</i> bonding <i>namin </i>so <i>sobrang</i> meaningful <i>atsaka</i> memorable <i>yung</i> holidays<i> ko</i> with them,” he shared.</div><div><br/></div><div>The proud dad also shared some more info on how successful Iñigo is in school and how he is happy that his son has chosen to prioritize his academics over girls for now. “Heartthrob <i>sa</i> school<i> yun</i> (laughs). <i>Maraming mga babae sa</i> States, <i>medyo </i>aggressive <i>dun</i> so<i> nakakatuwa naman</i> since he studies in a Christian school. <i>Medyo ang </i>focus <i>nya pag-aaral muna, nag-sa-</i>soccer<i> siya,</i> theater arts, <i>kasama siya sa</i> musical <i>ng</i> school <i>nila</i> so <i>madami siyang</i> diversions so far so <i>medyo yun muna. Buti na nga lang medyo i</i>nvolved<i> siya sa </i>extra-curricular, and<i> siya mismo nagsasabi na kapag may gumagawa ng mga</i> advances<i> galing sa mga kaklase niya</i>—<i>bata talaga</i>—<i>siya rin yung natatakot. Siya rin yung umiiwas,</i>” he revealed.</div><div><br/></div><div>The <i>Apoy Sa Dagat </i>star admitted that he is not a strict parent. Piolo said he wants Iñigo to be able to decide on his own and learn from his mistakes, which is why he does not give him restrictions on what to do. “There are things that you have to discover on your own as a person <i>na dinadaanan</i>. So <i>ayoko naman maging ignorante yung bata, ayoko naman na hindi niya alam kung ano yung dapat pagdaanan... Pero siyempre bilang magulang, nakaalalay rin tayo.
