Zsa Zsa Padilla talks about how she copes with Dolphy's death

More than six months after Dolphy’s passing, Zsa Zsa Padilla admitted that she’s still mourning the loss of her partner of 23 years.</div><div><br/></div><div>“<i>Ganon talaga e</i>. I think it takes a while. It’s a process. <i>‘Pag pagod ako dun ko nararamdaman.</i> I was crying when I was tweeting it. <i>Gamit ko pa yung van niya kasi inaayos yung </i>van <i>ko. Kasi siyempre paguwi ko ng bahay yung mga anak ko naka-</i>lock <i>na mga pinto</i>. 23 years <i>kami nagsama, tapos ‘pag uuwi ka,</i> whatever condition he is in, I know that he's waiting for me. <i>‘Pag nawala na yun sa buhay mo</i>, it's sad,” said Zsa Zsa when <a href=''>Push.com.ph</a> and other entertainment reporters visited her on the set of<i> Juan Dela Cruz</i> last Friday, January 18.</div><div><br/></div><div>Zsa Zsa further shared that she takes comfort in wearing Dolphy’s clothes, like the button-down shirt she was wearing during the set visit. “Shirt<i> niya ito na binigay ko sa kanya. Tapos ang katerno nito na gusto niya </i>short pants.<i> Sabi ko, ‘Ang laki yata nito… Ay, kay</i> Dolphy <i>nga pala ito’. Yung palagi niyong nakita na itim na</i> shirt <i>niya sa</i> wake,<i> yung kay</i> Jun de Leon <i>na</i> photos, <i>nilagay ko sa harap na harap, niyayakap ko yung</i> sleeve, <i>‘Lovey</i> <i>ko!’ Hindi naman ako umiiyak pero parang kunyari nagyayakapan kami.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>The singer-actress was so used to sharing her thoughts with Dolphy that she would still talk out loud, as if having a conversation with him, even to this day. It’s one of her ways to cope with her loss and loneliness. “<i>Meron kaming</i> coffee moments. When I was in L.A. (Los Angeles), <i>meron siyang</i> window <i>na ganyan,</i> I’d sit and talk to him then I end it with a prayer. So everyday<i> ginawa kong </i>ritual <i>yun. Nag-</i>start <i>yun dun pa lang sa</i> funeral home, <i>sa banyo dun. Sabi ni</i> K (daughter Karylle), ‘Mom, what are you doing on top of the sink?’ ‘I’m talking to Dolphy.’”</div><div><br/></div><div>It’s good to see that she seems to be coping well though as she jokes about her plans this coming Valentine’s Day. “<i>Eto na. Siyempre, hinahanda mo yung</i> gift <i>mo</i> [to your special someone] every occasion. Actually,<i> ang laki na natitipid ko</i>—birthday, Christmas, Valentine’s (laughs). <i>Dinaan ko na lang sa </i>joke to make it light<i> naman. Ayan, wala nanaman ako reregaluhan sa</i> Valentine’s.” </div><div><br/></div><div>However, her close friend Kris Aquino has already invited her to go out of town in February. “<i>Si</i> Kris <i>nagyayaya sa</i> beach. So<i> tini-</i>tweet <i>niya kanina pinayagan na daw ako ni</i> Sir Deo (Endrinal). She showed me some photos of where we’ll be going. <i>Bagong</i> resort <i>siya.</i> I love the beaches here in the Philippines.”</div><div><br/></div><div>She has decided to go with Kris since her daughters have their own plans anyway. “Nicole (Quizon) is back here. <i>Si </i>Zia (Quizon) may date with her non-showbiz boyfriend. <i>Si </i>Karylle busy, <i>baka may </i>show. So <i>ayoko muna mag-</i>show<i> baka mamaya puro iyak gawin ko</i>.”</div>
