After her role as determined mother Grace in the Star Cinema drama One More Try, Angel Locsin admitted she was honored to even be nominated alongside Nora Aunor in the recent Metro Manila Film Festival awards. It was also Angel’s first time to play a parent onscreen as well. Talagang kung ano man yung ibigay, eh di next time bawi kung hindi man. Pero kung manalo, laking pasasalamat. Kung matalo eh di okay lang din naman,” she said in an interview prior to the MMFF awards night.
The 27-year-old actress said she enjoyed the holidays last month with boyfriend and Azkals player Phil Younghusband even though he was not in the best of health. “May sakit siya. Nagka-trangkaso siya. Sa bahay lang kami,” she shared. Phil also attended the MMFF awards to escort her last month. When asked what gifts they gave each other for Christmas, Angel said she prefers to keep the details private. “Ah secret na namin yun, sa amin na lang yun (laughs),” she said.
When asked if their high-profile romance is headed down the aisle anytime soon, the talented actress-model admitted she is not the type to make any big plans or resolutions for the year. Sana lang this year mas healthy yung lifestyle, mas kumakain ng gulay,” she said.
Angel admitted that she and Phil have talked about marriage but also refused to give any specific details about what they talked about. “Wedding plans? Wala pa, wala pa. Plans pa lang (laughs),” she said.
