Kathryn Bernardo admits she enjoyed her date with Daniel Padilla at the Star Magic Ball

<img src='' alt='090612-kathryn_main.jpg' align='left' border='0' height='290' width='305'>After their glamorous entrance at the recent Star Magic Ball held last September 1 at the Rizal ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la hotel, Kathryn Bernardo admitted she was happy to be escorted by one of her Princess and I leading men Daniel Padilla. The pretty teen actress revealed that he had asked her to be his date as early as January of this year. The two acted so sweet to each other that night which sparked further speculation that they were not just on-cam sweethearts, but a real-life couple as well. Although they have both maintained to be just good friends for now, Kathryn said she was very impressed when she saw Daniel wearing a Nat Manilag suit at the black-and-white formal event. “Of course it’s very different from his usual attire so since minsan ko lang to makita so titingnan ko lang siya tonight (laughs). I like it naman on him,” she admitted. Aside from being virtually inseparable that night, observers noted that Daniel almost always never left Kathryn’s side and would even go as far as to escort her to the ladies room when needed. The two were also seen having fun at the photo booth with other celebrity friends as well as taking photos with just the two of them. During the program proper, the Princess and I stars looked like they were already content conversing mostly with each other at their table. But despite all this, Kathryn maintained that she and Daniel are merely the best of friends for now. “Siguro nasasabi nila yun kasi sobrang maalaga si DJ sa akin, so sa mga pictures nakikita nila na yung inaalalayan niya ako, ganyan. And si DJ naman is very sweet talaga in his little ways,” she admitted. The couple also won the Most Fashionable Male and Female at the Star Magic Ball awards. Daniel was seen carrying both their awards for them afterwards. When asked if she had already gotten used to Daniel treating her like a Princess, Kathryn said she appreciates his effort in taking care of her. The talented 16-year-old also admitted she tries her best to take care of her persistent suitor. Turning to Daniel she asks with a smile, “Maalaga din naman ako di ba?” Kathryn also admitted how she tries to take care of him as well, “Bawal siyang pumayat!” Kathryn is also busy preparing for the upcoming US tour of the Princess and I Royal Caravan as well as taping more exciting episodes for the hit Primetime Bida series. “Malapit na malapit na malaman kung ako ba talaga yung prinsesa, yun ang abangan nila. And yung kung kanino mapupunta si Mikay,” she shared.
