Myrtle Sarrosa shares why she turned down dates to the Star Magic Ball 2012

090412-myrtle_main.jpgMyrtle Sarrosa was one of the first celebrities to walk down the red carpet of the Rizal ballroom of the Makati Shangri-la hotel for the Star Magic Ball. The Kahit Puso’y Masugatan actress was admittedly in high spirits as she talked to the press in her Eric delos Santos gown. “I’m fine, I’m really excited. Kanina kinakabahan ako bago pumasok. It’s my first time to attend the Star Magic Ball. I expect na sobrang saya ito and I wish na I’ll meet more people kasi it’s my first time rin meeting yung mga ibang artista so yes nakaka-excite talaga!” she said.

The Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition winner was also seen having a mini-photo shoot by the grand staircase of the hotel, much to the delight of fans waiting in the lobby. “I just want to have photos from this event so yun. Tapos it’s also nice to entertain people,” she admitted.

The 17 year-old also explained why she decided to go solo in her first time at the Star Magic Ball. “Kasi actually gusto ko talaga magpunta alone, even though there are people who asked me. I just prefer to go alone,” she shared. Myrtle said that even though rumored suitors Yves Flores and Kit Thompson got turned down as her dates for the night, there are no hard feelings between them. “Hindi naman. They have partners of their own naman ngayon. Mas prefer ko talaga to go alone. Napag-isipan ko talaga to go alone kasi I’m going to go with the Big Four,” she added.

If there was one person that she was really hoping to meet that night, Myrtle admitted that it was going to be Erich Gonzales. “Hindi celebrity crush ang gusto ko makita pero I want to meet Erich kasi everyone keeps telling me na kamukha ko daw siya so sana I would meet her para makita ko if ano talaga, nakaka-excite (laughs),” she admitted.

Myrtle admitted that she was tempted to add a little bit of cosplay to her outfit even though the Star Magic Ball was a strict formal affair. “I was thinking na puwede kaya ako maglagay ng wings? (laughs) Pero parang inisip ko na lang na of course this is a different night and it’s black-and-white theme so I want to go with the flow naman. Yung suot ko naman may touches of pink. It’s very different from cosplay pero enjoy talaga mag-dress up and parang ngayon in my ball gown, it feels like I’m a princess!” she said.

Even though she was known as an avid cosplay player before entering the Pinoy Big Brother house, Myrtle said she hopes she can still find time to join cosplay competitions abroad someday. “Hopefully pero parang judge na lang kinukuha sa akin (laughs), she said.

The pretty teen housemate from Ilo-Ilo said that she really looks up to popular cosplayer and model Alodia Gosengfiao. “I met her when I started cosplay. Siya yung nag-support talaga sa akin. She pushed me rin na mag-pursigi pa sa cosplay and ka-text ko siya lagi,” she shared.
