After her long-time partner, the late Comedy King Dolphy was finally laid to rest a couple of weeks ago, ZsaZsa Padilla went to back to work last Sunday August 5, in ASAP, where she as one of the main hosts.
The Divine Diva said in an interview that she felt better going back to work because of the effort of her colleagues to cheer her up. “Sobrang nakaka-inspire, really touching kasi nilagay nila ako sa isang stage and (I) had to see everything in the light and everybody binibigyan (ako) ng 101 percent suporta and nakakataba ng puso,” the actress-host related.
However, she explained that after two weeks, she is going to fly to Los Angeles, California, USA together with daughter Zia to seek the opinion of a medical expert. “ I need to see a doctor and ask for a second opinion. Remember in 2007 I had surgery kasi ipinanganak ako na defective ang left ureter ko. Ang nangyari parang namaga ang left kidney ko (so) every year I have a check-up. May isang taon na nagkaroon ako ng kidney stone, na-pass ko naman ‘yon.
She revealed that during her check-up last year, the doctor diagnosed something in her left kidney. “Prior to Dolphy’s hospitalization sumasakit ‘yung kidney ko. Nagpa-check up nga ako ng May, before my birthday. Tinawagan ako later on, sabi ng doctor ko meron daw akong polyp. Pagkakaintindi ko pag polyp parang nodule lang siya.”
Then just last June ZsaZsa had another check-up but it was not until the remains of Dolphy were laid to rest that she found out about the result of her medical test. “Nung sabi ko kamusta ang ultrasound ko sabi niya (doktor) hindi magandang balita kasi ‘yung polyp pala eh malaki na. It’s already the size of a golf ball (or) pingpong ball. Kelangan talagang operahan, tanggalin. May matitira pa naman sa kidney pero gusto ko lang pumunta para mag-seek ng second opinion.”
ZsaZsa continued that the specialist she will see in the US is the same one who examined Dolphy before and is hoping that things will be okay.
