The singer says he sometimes gets annoyed that the media wants to know details about his love life.
After eight years, Parokya Ni Edgar finally releases “Inuman Sessions Vol. 2,” the follow-up album to their highly successful album “Inuman Sessions Vol. 1” under Universal Records. Chito Miranda, the band’s vocalist, described the album as, “Iba-ibang
It’s a collection of songs from different albums, pero
what we did was pinerform namin nang
live habang lasing
to see what happens. It’s always fun doing that na hindi lang
greatest hits, greatest albums,” he said at the press conference held last Thursday, August 30.
The seemingly very inspired performer also shared voluntarily that he is trying to change for the better for his girlfriend, actress Neri Naig. “Hindi na ko masyadong lumalabas, hindi tulad dati na inaabot ako ng madaling araw sa labas partying with my friends and tinanggal ko lahat ‘yon and I’m trying my best not to do that anymore,” Chito related.
He shared that he used to be a happy-go-lucky guy but became responsible when he was in a relationship but went back to partying when he became single again. “Kasi when we’re starting out as a band iba talaga ang lifestyle namin ng mga kaibigan ko. Tapos nagsawa ako sa gano’n. Then after a long-term relationship (with actress Kaye Abad) I was free again. Siyempre enjoy life ulit so in-embrace ko uli ‘yung lifestyle na ganun na almost two years all I did was go out and drink, kasi ang tagal kong single eh. So ngayon nung naging kami na (ni Neri) I had to (assess myself) ulit na ganyan pa ba o kayang-kaya kong bitawan ‘yung rock-and-roll lifestyle.”
When asked directly if he consciously tries to change for the better when he is committed, Chito said, “Oo, dapat yata naman kasi hindi pwedeng maglabas ka pa rin, magtambay ng kung sino-sino’ng mga girls at umuwi ka ng lasing. Siyempre you have to be a responsible boyfriend.” Like any faithful person who is in love with his partner, Chito hopes that his current girlfriend is the one he ends up marrying. “’Yun naman ang hino-hope when you get into a relationship, sana ito na talaga ‘yon, pero it’s too early to tell. We’re still enjoying ourselves as a new couple.”
At that point of the interview, Chito pleaded to the press people not to ask more about his love life. “I guess it’s corny to talk about love life sa
(harap ng) camera, it’s weird,” he said. Push.com.ph
then asked him if it gets to him that reporters interrogate his personal life simply because he has a celebrity girlfriend. “In a way (it’s) annoying kasi
people ask you, but I understand na
job nila ‘yan eh. Sa mundo namin
(music industry) nobody cares kung sino ang lumalabas. Kunwari si
Rico Blanco wala namang pakialam
(ang iba) kung sino idini-
Rico or sino idini-
date ko, nagkataon lang siguro na may
with actresses kaya ‘yun ang nagiging
. That’s why it comes with the territory, that’s why they keep on asking me about kung sino idine-
date ko. Pero
honestly for the record, sobrang korning-
corny talaga ako na i-
love life ko sa
camera, so I have nothing against this interview sinasabi ko lang di ko lang talaga
trip na, ‘Ay
, about love life,’ it’s so corny,” he confessed.
