Daniel Padilla on his newfound fame: 'Dapat chill lang ako'

But in spite of his successful venture in the music industry, the young actor insisted that singing is more of a hobby for him. “<i>Hindi ko nga po in</i>-expect <i>na magkakaalbum ako e. Hindi ko rin naman talaga gustong kumanta. E wala po e, kailangan po. Hindi ko naman nararamdaman na isa na akong ganap na</i> singer.<i> Ilagay na lang natin sa pagiging</i> hobby <i>ang pagkanta ko</i>,” he said in an interview with <a href='http://Push.com.ph'>Push.com.ph</a>.</div><div><br/></div><div>Daniel further shared that he got his talent for singing from both his parents Rommel Padilla and Karla Estrada. Incidentally, the two have had the chance to make a comeback in showbiz ever since Daniel started making headlines as a promising young actor. To which he humbly replied, “<i>Pero dati naman po, kahit hindi pa ako</i> artista <i>may proyekto pa rin si</i> Papa. <i>Pero kung ganon po niya tinitignan yun, gusto ko lang din magpasalamat sa mga tao na nagbigay ng oportunidad kina</i> Mama <i>at </i>Papa <i>na umarte ulit</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>As for those who are saying that he’s the most bankable teen star to date, Daniel maintained that he’d rather focus on being a better actor than be overwhelmed with such praises. “<i>Hindi ko naman nararamdaman masyado yun</i> [na hot star ako ngayon]. <i>Hindi ko po ipinapasok sa utak ko na sikat ako. Dapat</i> chill lang <i>ako</i>,” he beamed.</div>

Daniel Padilla is grateful that his popularity has paved the way for his parents to make a comeback in showbiz.
