JM says that because his character Angelito has matured a lot in this second season, it will be a different kind of acting challenge for him as well.
The 23-year-old actor adds he considers it a compliment when he gets recognized in public as Angelito more than his real name. “Sobrang thankful ako first of all sa ABS-CBN and kay direk Lauren kasi without this show, hindi ako makikilala. Mas maraming tumatawag sa akin na Angelito kumpara sa JM and that’s the show’s effect sa akin so thankful ako. It’s a challenge for me so kung mas mabigyan pa ako ng opportunity after nito, babaguhin ko yun, ipapakilala ko si JM,” he says. The former mixed martial arts fighter also shares that he is currently focusing on getting his body fitter so he can show more on screen. Actually ngayoon araw-araw aong nag-tatrain ng martial arts, boxing and fitness. Nagkatao yung trainer ko nakatira sa bahay ko so pag may time ako, nagwo-workout ako.”
