“It was peaceful. I wasn’t there [when my dad passed away]. How I wish I was there, but according to my family members, to all my brothers and siblings, he passed [away] peacefully,” aniya. “There’s no pain, nothing. His eyes were closed and he just slowly moved to the light. Like I said, to the last minute he was fighting. He wanted to live, he wanted to be with us, but siguro hindi na kinaya ng katawan niya. He passed [away] peacefully naman. Walang paghihirap.”
“I’d like to think [that] my dad is bigger than life and with that, I guess he’s made such an impact with the Filipino people that other networks and international networks are covering [and] sympathizing with the nation. Like I said, nakakataba ng puso na ganito ang nangyayari. Parang it only goes to show how important this person is to the Philippines [and] how much respect he’s made for the country.”
“Hopefully that people will remember him as a man who was a good actor, who was a good father, and a good human being. I think he embodies all of that and my dad has made a lot of people happy. He made a name for himself and he made all Filipinos happy, so sana when they remember him, whey they say Dolphy it would put a smile on their faces, make a joke or they would laugh.”
