After ending with a high TV viewership during its finale last April, Angelito: Ang Bagong Yugto will return to Kapamilya Gold’s afternoon slot very soon. But it’s a tall order for the people behind this teleserye to maintain another successful season according to lead actress Charee Pineda. “Yung bilin kasi sa amin maging number one kami. Kaya sobra yung effort na ginagawa namin. Nag-workshop pa kami at kailangan namin mag-immersion para maramdaman namin kahit papaano maging parents at kung paano maging magasawa kasi yun talaga yung core ng story,” said the 21-year-old in an interview with Push.com.ph during their recent cast pictorial.
At the same time, she’s very grateful to be given another huge project knowing that competition is very tight among the network’s pool of talented young stars. “Sobrang happy kasi mas pinagkakatiwalaan na kami. Mas malaking roles na yung ibinibigay sa amin. Tsaka mas mataas ata ang expectations sa amin ngayon kasi ang alam ko Angelito lang ang nagkaroon ng Book 2 sa panghapon na palabas.”
Asked about her stand with regards to marriage, Charee believed that there’s no ideal age once a person decides to enter a lifetime commitment. “My mom got married at 18, so feeling ko wala naman sa age yun para masabi mo na ready ka.”
Incidentally, there have been a number of reports pertaining to her rumored engagement to her non-showbiz boyfriend. The guy is said to be a 32-year-old Chinese businessman who proposed to her while they were aboard a plane bound for Hong Kong last June 7. But the young actress refused to comment on the issue, stating that it’s “too soon” since she’s very focused on her showbiz career to think about settling down.
