Makisig Morales denies he got depressed after taking a break from showbiz

040412-makisig-main.jpgAfter first making his mark on showbiz in the hit fantaserye Super Inggo over six years ago, Makisig Morales returns to TV in the teen horror series Oka2kat along with Paul Salas, Sue Anna Ramirez, Jane Oineza, and newcomer Joshua Colet.

The 15-year-old singer-actor said he is happy to be given the chance to show his acting chops once again. Pero nagtutulungan kami kaya mas napapdali lang, mas napapagaan yung work namin,” he shared during the Oka2kat presscon held last January 31 at the ABS-CBN compound.

Although he was visible in various guest and supporting roles over the years, Makisig said he never felt bad about lying low from the limelight. Kaya ngayon medyo nabigyan ulit ng break,” he said.

Makisig denied he feels insecure that he plays a supporting character to Paul Salas who is two years younger than him. The two are actually the best of friends off-cam. Ngayon magkakasama naman kami as a group kaya masaya. Masaya siya ka-work,” he explained.

The talented young actor said that taking a break from showbiz was a blessing in disguise because he was able to focus on schooling and spend more time with his family after Super Inggo. “Never ako na-depressed. Pag nami-miss yun.
