Karylle on It's Showtime's rivals in the noontime slot: 'Mali 'yung goal.'

“Actually, sila marami nang napagdaanan since before kasi new additions lang kami…

So I think sa napag-usapan namin, we’re taking this challenge as a family, so I don’t think we’ll go wrong, as long as we’re together.”

“’Yung sa mga napag-usapan namin nag-family meeting kami, sobra akong natuwa nung narinig ko ‘yung words na we are not here to compete with anyone. We are just going to continue making people happy. I think ‘yun talaga ‘yung point, eh. ‘Pag masyado mo kasing inisip ‘yung ratings medyo mali ‘yung goal. I was talking to my (Kitchen Musical) director in Singapore and he was telling me, ‘You know, ratings is the old school way of looking at things.’ And this is somebody outside of the country so his opinion may or may not matter. For us it may or may not apply but there are more ways now to see the success of the program. I’m just keeping an open mind on how we can talagang gauge the success of a program and maybe sometimes it may not be in those numbers, but the numbers of the people na talaga namang napasaya and affected.

“Hindi ko pa nakakausap si Mama but nakita ko siya nung Chinese New Year and nabati ko naman siya and he’s still in very high spirits and alam mo ‘yon parang he is one person na talaga namang very positive ang aura.”
