Legendary pop star Whitney Houston passed away Saturday afternoon in the US, at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. In a report by Gretchen Fullido on TV Patrol, the singer was found dead by authorities inside her hotel room. The cause of Whitney’s death is still to be determined but police say there was no evidence of foul play in her room. Whitney was set to attend her mentor Clive Davis’ pre-Grammy party at the hotel that evening.
In the past years, Whitney was often in the headlines as she was in and out of rehab for substance abuse and because of her turbulent relationship with husband, singer Bobby Brown.
Fans and celebrities were all shocked with the news of her death. On Twitter, celebrities expressed their sadness and mourning for the singer whose hits “Greatest Love of All,” “Where Do Broken Hearts Go,” “Saving All My Love,” “I Wanna Dance With Somebody,” and “I Will Always Love You” have been a big inspiration in their careers.
