Sa taped interview ng morning show na 'KrisTV,' inamin ni Mickey na halos apat na buwan na niyang boyfriend ang isang non-showbiz guy. 'I kinda white-lied to you that time because I said we were dating but actually we've been together already since October,' pag-amin ni Mickey sa host ng show na si Kris Aquino. Ayon kay Kris malamang ay nahiya lang si Mickey na aminin noon ang totoo. 'Guilty. Nahiya ako kasi hindi na ako nasanay na may relationship ulit ako. Parang hindi ako sanay to reveal,' pag-sang ayon ni Mickey. Pag-amin ni Mickey, sa may apat na buwang pinagsasamahan nila ng boyfriend ay mas nararamdaman niya ang saya ng muling magmahal at mahalin. 'The more time we spend together parang napi-feel ko ulit na maging babae na minamahal.' Si Mickey ay dating long-time partner ng host-actor na si Archie Alemania na ama ng kanyang anak na lalaking si Brent. Aniya, kahit minsan ay nagseselos pa, masaya siyang tanggap ni Brent ang kanyang bagong pag-ibig.

The actress says her new boyfriend is non-showbiz.
