As part of Star Cinema’s upcoming Metro Manila Film Fest entry Sisterakas, Kris Aquino admitted she is having an enjoyable time working with good friends Vice Ganda and Ai-Ai De las Alas. “The experience is ongoing kasi nag-shu-shoot pa kami. Talagang naaaliw ako kasi parang sinabi ko nung pinasok ko ito na dapat ibigay nga lahat. Sobrang tagal na kaming magkakakilala and iba yung bonding talaga namin so hindi mo na siya madadagdagan. Ang masasabi ko na lang, na-solidify. Kasi parang I think ang maganda sa amin tatlo at this point in our lives, marunong kami mag-suportahan na talaga. At magbigay ng moment sa isa’t isa. parang alam naman namin kung itong eksenang ito, moment niya or moment ko, ganun. And ang masasabi ko, spoiled ako dun sa dalawa kasi parang maalaga sila dahil alam nilang lampa ako, so parati silang nagsasabi na, ‘Uy, alalayan niya, alalayan niyo, mahuhulog yan!’ so it’s really been a wonderful experience para sa amin,” she shared during the Sisterakas presscon held last December 8 at the ABS-CBN compound.
Kris said that she is close to her two co-stars in different ways, but it does not means she favors anyone over the other. “The difference lang is si Vice kasi meron kaming ongoing na siguro mag-da-dalawang taon na bawat showing ng pelikula na Tagalog, kaming dalawa talaga sabay na nanunuod. Movie date talaga yan. standing movie date yun. Sabi ko nga para kaming part of Star Cinema promotions. Pero kay Ai-Ai kasi, parang ang dami na naming pinagdaanan together and yung ano talaga, para isa ko na rin siyang ate kasi buong pamilya namin, we consider Ai to be part of the family talaga,” she said.
Despite sharing the limelight with two big name stars, Kris admitted she was never really bothered about being outshined by the two. “Eh kasi pag tinitingnan niyo naman yung poster, ako gitna. Hahaha (laughs). Baliw lang (laughs),” she joked.
When it comes to her personal life, the Kris TV host said it is not true what James Yap has been saying about being good friends with her again. She could not help but be candid with the media when asked about her relationship with her ex-husband. “No, that’s not true. Ayoko magpaka-plastic sa inyo eh. Di ba it’s easy to tell all of you na yes we’re friends, we’re good and all pero we’re not. I think we’re better off having a distance from each other kasi na mi-misinterpret namin ang isa’t isa. I hold no bitterness in my heart but I have no desire for any closeness. Ayoko na, huwag na natin pag-usapan sorry,” she said.
In fact, the Sisterakas star said she would rather focus on her two sons and her busy career at this point in her life. The 41-year-old mom said she is not even dating anyone. “Walang nagpaparamdam. Wala akong ine-entertain at hindi siya pumapasok sa pag-iisip ko because I know that it’s not part of my destiny at this point. Bimby is only five, Josh is 17. As it is, we have six bedrooms pero we sleep in one room. Iba talaga yung bonding at closeness namin. Siguro binigay sila sa buhay ko para hindi ko ever ma-feel na may pagkukulang kasi kumpleto naman talaga and ayoko ng maging selfish na hingin ang lahat kay God. So kung hindi niya ako bibigyan ng love life, ng boyfriend, ng asawa, I’m really okay,” she said.
