Angel Locsin is reluctant to work with ex-boyfriend Luis Manzano

<div><img src='' alt='110912-angel_main.jpg' width='305' height='290' align='left' border='0'><i>Toda Max</i> will celebrate its first anniversary the whole month of November and will have special guests for each episode. The sitcom’s first year is an accomplishment because they are not as popular as they were in the past. The sitcom is top-billed by Robin Padilla, Angel Locsin, Pokwang, and Vhong Navarro.</div><div><br/></div><div>Vhong, who has done a number of sitcoms before, admitted that <i>Toda Max</i> exceeded his expectations when it comes to the show’s longevity. “<i>Ako talaga, sa akin, ang dami kong ginawang</i> sitcom, so <i>kaya nage-</i>expect <i>ako na </i>[<i>baka</i>]<i> hindi tanggapin,</i>” he admitted. He added that proper timing probably has something to do with their show’s success.</div><div><br/></div><div>Angel, on the other hand, admitted that she is able to show off her other side in <i>Toda Max.</i> “<i>Dito ko nailabas ang kalokahan ko</i>,” she quipped. She added that they are now on their fourth season and expressed her gratitude for the support of their fans.</div><div><br/></div><div>The two were then asked if they would be comfortable working with their former sweethearts if they were to appear as guests on the show. Vhong answered, “<i>Ako sa totoo lang, parang di pa ako</i> (ready).”</div><div><br/></div><div>He explained that it is not that he has not yet moved on, but because he was not able to work with his ex-girlfriend even when they were together. However, he said that he might be able to pull it off if he and his former flame do something under the drama genre.</div><div><br/></div><div>For her part, Angel said that she is unsure if she is ready to work with a particular former boyfriend. “<i>Sa totoo lang, hindi ko alam. Parang gusto ko na parang natatakot din ako</i>,” she said. “<i>Ang naging</i> ex<i> ko lang naman na buhay ay dalawa. Si </i>Oyo (Sotto). Okay <i>naman ako</i> [<i>kay</i> Oyo].” With her ex Luis Manzano, Angel expressed her reluctance. She described their current relationship as “okay” and though they have mutual respect for each other, they have not yet crossed paths since they broke up.</div><div><br/></div><div>She continued that it is not easy for her to say if she can work with Luis. “<i>Di ko alam kung anong magiging reaksyon ko</i>. Knowing him<i> naman, napaka</i>-gentleman.<i> Baka ako ‘yung magkaproblema. Gusto kong sabihing oo pero alam mo ‘yung parang natatakot ka. Parang ganon</i>,” she confessed.</div><div><br/></div><div>Meanwhile, Angel is just grateful to be a regular cast of <i>Toda Max.</i> She said that although she was included in the pilot episode, she was not really supposed to be part of the regular cast, but then she was called again to be a mainstay. She said that she is proud to be part of a whole team who treat each other like family.</div><div><br/></div><div>The project is also something new for Angel who is used to doing drama and action. “<i>Bukod sa sobrang saya ng</i> taping <i>at</i> enjoy,<i> mababait ‘yung lahat ng katrabaho ko. Nakakapagpakita ako ng iba kong </i>side. <i>Hindi ‘yung</i> Angel <i>na umiiyak, kumakagat, may binabalibag, sinasabit kung saan-saan, lumilipad</i>,” said Angel.</div><div><br/></div><div>Angel plays the role of Isabel Padausdos. Angel revealed that she can relate to her character, who strives hard to finish her studies so she can help her family. “<i>Gusto niyang itawid</i> [<i>ang pag-aaral</i>] <i>kasi ang</i> priority <i>naman ni</i> Isabel <i>ay para sa pamilya niya, para sa magandang kinabukasan</i>.”</div>

Though she and Luis Manzano have mutual respect for each other, Angel Locsin says that she might not be ready to work with her ex.
