In a previous interview, Juday related that she admires Sam’s efforts to deliver his lines properly, even if speaking in Tagalog is the actor’s biggest hindrance. Nevertheless, Sam said he is grateful to Juday for being supportive despite his shortcomings. “’Yun nga ‘yung mga eksena na nabubulol ako kaya ‘pag paulit-ulit ang eksena…she’s very supportive though. Sobrang thankful ako sa kanya, like [pag] ganyang mga moments, supportive siya, patient siya sa akin. Tinutulungan niya ko kaya I’m very thankful for her,” related Sam
The Fil-Am actor shared that he continues to work on his Tagalog by reading Tagalog pocket books and by talking to his friends in Tagalog. “Early this year, even last year nagbabasa ako ng Precious Hearts Romances [pocketbooks] na para masanay ‘yung dila ko and then nakakatulong na best friend ko si Pratty (John Prats) na Tagalog din.”
As for his Hollywood dream, Sam revealed that he is still fixed on pursuing it and is supposed to go back to the US by February 2013. However, this might coincide with the airing of Against All Odds, so he has not come up yet with the solution to this concern. “Di ko alam kung magiging okay ang sched ko baka busy ako dito, so baka next year di ko alam… but I think pwede kong i-video ang sarili ko at pwede kong i-send do’n. Di ko alam, parang ang hirap kasi kung malalaman nung mga producers or directors na nandito ako, so it’s harder.”
As for having a special someone by next year, Sam joked, “Bakit 2013 [pa]? Ngayon na! Pinag-iisipan ko na ngayon pero wala pa so sana if not this year, next year [meron na].”
