Eugene Domingo admits she is excited to work with Jake Cuenca in the movie 'Tuhog'

110312-eugene_main.jpgAs a reward to herself after finishing work on Kimmy Dora 2 and I Do Bidoo Bidoo earlier this year as well as PETA’s stage adaptation of Bona, Eugene Domingo took a well-deserved vacation abroad. Talagang kailangan natin yan eh, nagbabakasyon tayo from work so salamat sa Diyos at matutuloy,” she shared.

The 41-year-old actress said she does not mind not being part of the Metro Manila Film Festival next month. “Hindi naman, sandaling-sandali lang naman ako mawawala and then magkikita kita ulit tayo. Masaya talaga pag filmfest. Eh maganda naman ang mga entries at saka lahat tayo sumuporta sa mga pelikula na wala tayong kalabang Hollywood,” she said.

When she gets back, Eugene said she is looking forward to starting work on an exciting new movie project with Jake Cuenca. Joke. Maganda yung script. Hindi ko alam kung Tuhog talaga yung title or working title ito, but it’s one of the best scripts I have read in a long time by Direk Ronnie Velasco na nanalo sa Cinemalaya I think two or three years ago for her script Last Supper. Maganda talaga yung script. I think kung magkakaroon ng pagkakataon na maipalabas natin ito sa international filmfest, malaki ang chance ng script na ito,” she said.

Eugene said she also looks forward to working with a young cast next year. Abangan niyo, alam naman natin na if it’s form Star Cinema, it’s a quality film kahit digital (laughs),” she shared.

Eugene said the movie’s storyline is very complex, which will be something she looks forward to sharing with her fans. Lahat kayo matutuhog,” she said.

When she gets back from her vacation abroad, Eugene said she can’t wait to watch the first joint movie of Kris Aquino, Ai-Ai De las Alas, and Vice Ganda. “Sobra, can you just imagine kung gaano ka-dagungdung ang sinehan sa tatlong malalaking artista at si Direk Wenn Deramas, it’s very, very exciting, lahat ng pelikula ng Star Cinema,” she said.
