Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi are officially married

111512-carminazoren_main.jpgAfter being together for 14 years, Carmina Villarroel and Zoren Legaspi finally tied the knot at Fernbrook Gardens in Alabang earlier today, November 15. According to an exclusive report from TV Patrol, Zoren surprised his longtime live-in partner Carmina with a wedding proposal followed by a grand wedding ceremony, which he put together with the help of their twins Cassy and Mavy. Carmina thought that they were just off to a product endorsement shoot when the whole thing turned out to be the greatest surprise of her life.

Carmina couldn’t stop crying because she couldn’t believe that the wedding she has been waiting for finally took place. Zoren stated that it was really hard to keep the wedding a secret from Carmina, but it was definitely worth the effort. All of their loved ones including friends from show business graced the event. Celebrities who were part of the entourage/primary sponsors are Grace Poe, Eric Quizon, Kris Aquino together with special guests Maricel Soriano and Susan Roces among others.

To recall, Zoren and Carmina confirmed in their August 18 interview with Janice de Belen in Showbiz Inside Report (SIR) that they plan to hold a civil wedding this year. Zoren was also supposed to propose to her during their trip to Japan, but he failed to buy her an engagement ring at that time. “Si Zoren kasi, magaling talaga sa mga ganyan. Mahilig siya sa sorpresa. Sobra na akong nata-touch. Hindi man nangyari yung sa cherry blossom, okay lang, at least napag-isipan niya,” said Carmina in that interview.

As it was, they had to wait long before they could get married due to technicalities related to Carmina’s annulment with former husband Rustom Padilla. “Noong hiwalay niya, nakita ko yung pain na dinadaanan niya. Hinayaan ko muna. Ngayong nag-decide na ako to formalize everything, meron naman problema yung legalities, yung paper. Iyon naman ang naging problema, so nahadlangan na naman. Ngayong taon lang talaga na-finalize na truly 100% annulled siya. Iyon yung tingin kong kulang na lang sa buhay niya. Hopefully, maganap itong taon yung formality,” Zoren added in the same SIR interview.
