Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo talk about working with each other in the upcoming movie '24/7 In Love.'
Real-life couple Bea Alonzo and Zanjoe Marudo appear in an episode of the upcoming movie 24/7 In Love
, which is opening in cinemas on November 21. The two already worked together in an episode of Maalaala Mo Kaya
and also in the 2010 film Sa ‘Yo Lamang
. However, Zanjoe said that it only took him one day to finish his scenes in the movie so he never really had a chance to work with Bea.
In 24/7 In Love, the couple got to work with each other longer and discovered a few interesting things about each other.
“Pawisin pala siya ‘pag eksena, hahaha!” Bea replied. “Para siyang kinakabahan lagi. Nakakatuwa naman kasi at least hindi siya nagre-relax ganyan.” She said that this also prompted her to be on her toes when it came to her performance to make sure that their takes would come out good. “Feeling ko lang pinapaganda [niya]. Kailangan pagandahin ko rin para mapaganda ‘yung episode namin.”
In response to Bea’s initial comment that he perspires a lot, Zanjoe said that the location was very warm that is why he was so sweaty. He said he discovered how professional and good his girlfriend is when it comes to her craft. “Na-discover ko nga na sa tagal na niya sa industriya, alam na alam na niya ‘yung gagawin niya. Pagdating sa trabaho, ‘yung alam mong aktor na talaga na anytime pag kailangan na, ‘yung mga emosyon, ‘yung mga ano andun na agad, hindi katulad naming mga baguhan,” explained the actor.
Bea immediately reacted to Zanjoe’s comment and said that she was also impressed with her boyfriend’s consistency when it comes to his character in the movie, which is a gay role.
“Alam mo ang galing-galing nito sa isang eksena na kahit na emotional scene, I was expecting na somehow mawawala ‘yung pagkabading kasi di ba sarili mong emosyon ang papaganahin, pero siya hindi nawala ang pagiging bading, ‘yung character [niya] kahit na emotional na siya,” she said. She added that she helped Zanjoe with his character by teaching him gay lingo.
Bea and Zanjoe were then asked what makes their relationship work. The actor replied, “Di ko ma-explain eh, di naman siguro mapapaliwanag ‘yon. Siguro mahal namin ang isa’t-isa.”
He was also asked about Bea’s statement in an episode of Showbiz Inside Report, where the actress said that she considers her boyfriend a “savior.” “Nakakatuwa na di ko naman alam ang mga ganyang bagay tapos after ilang taon malalaman ko. May nagawa pala akong mabuti,” beamed Zanjoe.
Bea also revealed that Zanjoe makes her happy with his simple gestures. “Lagi niya akong pinapasaya. Alam mo kahit ‘yung maliliit lang na bagay na bigla niya akong yayakapin parang masayang-masaya na ako kasi hindi siya ganon dati. Somehow pag gumaganon siya, I feel important.”
Both agree that they could not compare their current relationship to their previous ones and that they would rather focus on being currently happy with what they have.
