Gerald Anderson says he's open to working on more projects with Kim Chiu after their movie '24/7 In Love.'
Gerald Anderson recently walked the runway together with Xian Lim and Sam Pinto as endorsers of the clothing brand Mint at the opening of Philippine Fashion Week at the SM Convention Center at the SM Mall of Asia on October 23.
Though the actor was evidently in a party mood at the event, he turned slightly serious when asked about the recent issue concerning his former Pinoy Big Brother housemate and friend Matt Evans. “Siyempre nakakalungkot pero alam mo ‘yon, you can’t keep a good man down, okay lang ‘yon. Kumbaga isang pagsubok sa buhay,” he said optimistically.
Gerald added. “Six years ko nang kilala si Matt, napakabait na tao ‘yon.” As of this writing, Gerald said he has not yet communicated with Matt but advised him to stay strong and keep on praying.
Meanwhile, Gerald said that he is also excited about his onscreen reunion with Kim Chiu in Star Cinema’s 24/7 In Love. “Sobrang excited. Para sa Kimerald (fans club) din ‘yan para sa reunion namin, para sa kanila at anniversary ng Star Magic kaya sana abangan ng mga tao,” he said about the film.
He was even teased if something would be rekindled now that he and his former constant leading lady have collaborated again. “Alam n’yo pag napanood n’yo ang mga eksena balikan n’yo ako. Pero ‘nung kasama ko si Kim sa movie parang bumalik ‘yung mga dating memories at sobrang komportable lang kami sa isa’t-isa.”
Push.com.ph then asked Gerald how he feels that many supporters of their tandem continue to support him and Kim even if they are now concentrating on their individual careers and are respectively paired with other actors. “Grabe ‘yung iba nga andito [sa event]. Sobra. Sobra pang supportive ang lahat ng fans. Ang huling project namin ni Kim antagal na pero andyan pa rin sila,” beamed Gerald.
He even recalled that during their first shooting day, many of their fans visited them on the set and brought a lot of food. “Parang naging fiesta sa set kasi bumisita sila sa set at ang daming pagkaing dala kaya nakakatuwa.”
When prodded if their reunion might be the start of more collaborations between them, Gerald declared, “Maybe, maybe. Why not? Siyempre open naman kami pareho [sa] gano’n.”
Gerald also revealed that he will soon begin taping for his upcoming teleserye titled Bukas Na Lang Kita Mamahalin, together with Cristine Reyes, Rayver Cruz, Dina Bonnevie, Diana Zubiri, and Maricel Soriano.
The actor also brushed off rumors linking him to Shaina Magdayao, after claims surfaced saying that the two are dating. Gerald added that he is as surprised as everyone else when this report came out.
