Christian Bautista hopes to bring Filipino stage plays to a higher level with 'Rama Hari.'
Christian Bautista said that it makes him feel comfortable that Karylle is his leading lady for the upcoming theater production of Rama Hari
. He and Karylle have worked together on many plays and TV projects. “Kaye (Karylle) and I have done so many things together and we know each other. We support each other in everything that we do and for another show like this, for me, ang sarap na katrabaho si
Kaye especially on the stage. There’s no other place where we’re more comfortable,” said Christian. The hit pop ballet musical by Ballet Philippines will run from November 30 to December 9 at the CCP Main Theater.
Christian said he is also glad to be part of Rama Hari, a Pinoy production amidst the proliferation of foreign plays and acts in the country.
Christian admitted that he also feels pressured to be one of the leads. music icons Basil Valdez and Kuh Ledesma top billed the staging the popular play years ago.
Although he and Karylle already have successful careers on TV, the two still do not mind appearing on plays once in a while. “Hindi na siguro mawawala sa amin ‘yon. Theater will always be part of us,” explained Christian.
