Jessy Mendiola clears up the rumor that she was seen going out with Matteo Guidicelli

Other stars of the soap include Matteo Guidicelli, Matt Evans, and Jewel Mische.</div><div><br/></div><div>As to working with Matteo, her leading man in the <i>teleserye</i>, Jessy said that they are gradually learning more about each other. “<i>Sobrang nakikilala namin ang isa’t-isa, tapos minsan para kaming aso’t-pusa, nag-aasaran pero sobrang lokohan lang</i>,” she related.</div><div><br/></div><div>However, there are issues that claimed that the two have been spotted going out just recently and were allegedly extra close. Jessy clarified, “<i>Ang nangyari non parang lumabas kami tapos kasama namin ang</i> director, <i>tapos ibang</i> staff <i>ng Isla,</i> so <i>para siyang</i> celebration. <i>Nagkataon lang na magkatabi kami tapos may nagsabi na, ‘Pwedeng </i>picture-<i>an ko kayong dalawa?’ Eh hindi ako nakatingin</i> so <i>parang ‘yung</i> [<i>posisyon ko</i>] <i>sa pagtawag</i> [<i>ni</i> Matteo]<i> ng atensyon ko ‘Uy!’ Ginanun</i> [<i>hinawakan</i>]<i> niya ako sa </i>legs<i> ko. Pagkaganun ko nag</i>-smile<i> kaming dalawa hindi ko alam na</i> all the while <i>pala ‘yung kamay niya nasa</i> legs <i>ko, pero </i>after the picture, <i>tinanggal din niya</i>.”</div><div><br/></div><div>She dismissed the claims that Matteo is courting her. “<i>Kasi syempre galing siya sa</i> heartbreak. <i>Ayoko naman ano</i>… <i>parang</i> as our project goes <i>parang gusto ko rin ‘yung </i>relationship <i>namin</i> as co-workers [or] as friends [<i>maging</i>] okay <i>naman.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>The actress continued that she and Matteo are just starting out as colleagues and friends so Matteo is not yet talking to her about personal stuff. “<i>Siyempre sa ngayon paunti-unti lang pero sinabi ko sa kanya</i> as much as possible <i>andito lang naman ako</i> to listen. <i>Siyempre pagdating sa mag</i>-love team or partner, <i>kailangan wala kayong</i> wall<i> sa isa’t-isa</i>,” Jessy explained.</div><div><br/></div><div>After that recent group date with the cast, staff, and crew of Isla, she said that they have not gone out again because they are busy with work. “<i>Naging</i> busy <i>kami sa Isla eh kasi meron kaming sunud-sunod</i> [<i>na</i> takes] <i>sa</i> beach. <i>Ang itim na nga niya at ako rin</i>,” she continued.</div><div><br/></div><div>She confirmed that they get to exchange text messages but on subjects that have something to do with work. “Usually<i> kapag meron kaming mga</i> rehearsals<i> dun kami nagkaka</i>-text-an or <i>mga</i> locations,<i> ‘Oi, nasaan ka na?’</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>When directly asked if there is a possibility that their working relationship might end up in a romantic one, Jessy replied, “<i>Di ko alam parang ang bilis naman masyado.</i>”</div><div><br/></div><div>Apart from Matteo, Jessy is also being linked to Derek Ramsay after a write-up came out that claimed that she and the actor were seen together at a hotel lobby. Jessy explained that she does not know where these allegations are coming from and why she is being linked to different guys. “Personally I don’t know Derek. I haven’t met him yet. Of course I know who he is but <i>hindi ko po siya ka</i>-close<i> na nagkakilala na</i> formally introduced. I don’t see why<i> nali</i>-link <i>kami sa isa’t-isa at meron pa nagsabi na nakita raw kami magkasama sa </i>mall. <i>Baka kamukha ko lang. Bakit kami maglalakad sa</i> mall<i> ng magkasama?</i>”</div>
