Derek Ramsay talks about his holiday adventure with his family and Angelica Panganiban

<img src='' alt='010812-derek_main.jpg' height='290' width='305' align='left' border='0'>Derek Ramsay happily shared that his injured forearm is getting better according to his orthopedic doctor. “I'm at the Philippine Orthopedic Institute getting my arm looked at. Hope everything is healing properly. Doc says I'm healing well but I need to rest it for another month,” he stated on his Twitter account last January 5. The following day, he also had it checked with celebrity cosmetic surgeon Dra. Vicki Belo to make sure that his scar is healing nicely. “I’m at doctora Belo's clinic getting my scar looked at. Bait ng staff. Thanks doctora Belo for your time. Scar is getting better.” Although he has been on vacation during the holidays, Derek kept his Twitter followers updated with what’s keeping him busy. In fact, he took several videos of himself during his trip to Marinduque together with his family and girlfriend Angelica Panganiban. They stayed at the Santorini-inspired island resort Bellarocca where they enjoyed a lot of beach activities. Derek even uploaded a video of him diving from an elevated deck and fooling around with his other family members, some of whom flew in from England. “Had a blast over the holidays. What an awesome trip! I can’t believe it went by so fast!” They rented a bus to take them from Derek’s family home in Tagaytay to Marinduque. But on their way home last January 2, the bus broke down and they were forced to take a jeepney heading to Lucena, Quezon and another bus ride to Tagaytay. “We were on our way to get a roro heading back to Manila and our bus broke down. There’s the bus, it’s leaning to the side. We missed the roro. And look, that’s my whole family. So we’re still having fun although the bus broke down,” said Derek in his video blog. In the background, Angelica was happily taking care of Derek’s nephew and niece. “It was crazy. Got to ride on the roof of the jeepney,” he later tweeted. It was definitely an unforgettable but fun experience for Derek who really wanted to spend quality time with his loved ones. In the meantime, he’s back to shooting a commercial and other work commitments. He’s also slated to do the movie with Bea Alonzo sometime this year.
